Maybe i put at the wrong section but i wanna ask something about OC the RAM also.

BTW, really thanks for the recommendation.... But value RAM? the clock is only at 667, capable for games like Crysis and Far Cry 2? the latency was higher as well, unless i choose to oc the latency and hunt for heat sinks for RAM.....

basically, it's cherry picking. there's no way to tell a good M0 or a bad 1. Some has good M0 like claw, some has a dud.

basically, they 'should' easily go 3ghz, 3.2ghz is already an achievement

its not about oc=ing above 3.0Ghz its about the art of oc-ing which is important

and not to mention luck in getting a good cpu too...lousy cpu+ good skill aso wont bring u far

you would be shocked   i am using CM Hyper 212 for this. Full air cooling with one fan attached to it

I've overclocked everything starting from a 486DX4-100 and some are used for more than a year but they never fail until the day I sold them off/upgraded. Most importantly is how you manage the heat issue.

63C is 100% load rite, not idle 

Well, something went really really weird today after installing the new CPU Cooler yesterday. This morning, i restarted my PC, turn off Intel Speed Step and C1E as recommended and rebooted the system to run at 380 * 8 (3.04Ghz). Everything ran fine but after a while, BSOD appears and system restarted. Its still running at stock Vcore as i did not change any other features.

Turned it back to 350 * 8 and rebooted. Everything is fine again until i ran CoreTemp. Suprisingly, its showing my system to be idling at 55c  Is it even normal? Is CoreTemp stable & accurate on Vista32bit?

Tried load temp and it went almost 63c. Ok, ambient temperature was really hot today (i was sweating like crazy) but would it go that far?

I was afraid, so i turned everything back to normal stock speed, fan at 100% but coretemp is still recording 52c. Bios was showing around 45c as well. More important is, my mobo temperature is showing over 60c. Is it ok for the mobo temperature to be that high?

after consulted with my friend here, a1098113, i got this...

well... don't get me wrong, haven't running any long run priming test yet le... so, stability issues might occurs anytime

anyway...
initially i went 1.5000VCore, 2.0VDIMM, 1.55VNB, 1.75VSB, according to a1098113 it's too much, then lowered to 1.4250VCore and 1.3250VNB and 1.55 for SB

thats crazy voltage for just 3.2Ghz dude

Added on February 9, 2008, 7:05 pmVsb only helps when you need voltage to support multiple drives and anything related to the southbridge la. Otherwise its not a dominant function in OCing. Vcore and Vnb plays a dominant role due to the FSB architecture.
