The BSEL mod enables 1066MHz FSB for many of the Core architecture processors, including E2xxx, E4xxx and even the innocent Celerons 4xx.

And this mod is good for non-overclocking boards. But take note that certain boards actually refuse to change FSB with this modded processor. And also, you can even push (maybe) to 333MHz FSB with the mod with motherboards with very limited overclocking capabilities.

First thing first - if you have the patience, you can do the manual approach - make a teeny weeny wire and a teeny weeny cellotape and paste this bent U-shaped wire shorting the specific contacts as according to the overclocking instructions (go search for it).

Or if you have a conductive paint (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) or if you are even brave enough to solder it (NOT RECOMMENDED), you'll cut the time of shorting the contacts.

or instead of wire, you can use aluminium foil sticked on with AS5 smile.gif

although, using the conductive paint is the most safest way to do it biggrin.gif

Aluminium foil? That small contacts are too tiny, and making an aluminium U-shaped contact isn't easy at all! If you have the patience, you can actually form that perfectly. I have to resort to the wire trick in the end! rclxub.gif

I'm still hunting for the car window defogger kit. The conductive pen/paint is darn expensive and doesn't even guarantee results - some forums have problems with these pens not working with the mod as well! sweat.gif

The best BSEL mod will be the E4300, because of the multiplier. However, similar results can be done on E2xxx series, with much success as well. smile.gif
