Newcomer here
Long time no OC edi Pentium Dual Core e2160, 1.8GHz Now at 3.33GHz (stock voltage, stock cooling) Paired with GA-P35-DS3L Lousy pair of RAMs, KVR667 Lousy 7300GT PCI-E VGA set at 100 Fixed Hitting wall with my RAM I think cos @ Multiplier x8, can go up to around 420FSB with windows hang, BSOD and stuff Need wait till I get actual RAM cos this one I pinjam testing only I can't disable the EIST, after disable in bios still has the EIST where my multiplier changes This post has been edited by Shoot@M3: Nov 27 2007, 09:21 PM |

Thx, and yikes better recheck my ambient temps and cpu temps
QUOTE(goldfries @ Nov 28 2007, 04:15 AM) those with stock cooling and over 3Ghz, kindly take care. I tried before. Stock cooler, 25c ambient temp still ok. once I off my air-con and leave the system in the room with warmer temps. sorry la, no hope for doing Folding@Home on both cores. Added on November 28, 2007, 4:16 am yes. idle that time it's around that temp. load that time it goes beyond 70c easily. |

I think my new DDRII 800MHz will arrive tomorrow woot
Will try push fsb to the MAX at stock volt, now already at 3.33GHz with lots of extra fans, Those who has the passive cooling on the new P35 board, watch out for ur system temp (Northbridge heatsink is really really hot, best tested with your own hands) |

no, it's photochopped
kidding.. the enhanced speed step dunno how to off from bios, didn't work when i tried That's why my multiplier dropped to x6 only anyone knows how to disabled EIST in my mobo? but it's good also cos not stress too much make temp increase QUOTE(kucingfight @ Dec 6 2007, 10:42 AM) |

Yep that's true, u can set ram multiplier to be lower
I'm still hitting FSB of 375 only with my new RAMS (will return current ram to my company Suspecting maybe mobo now, but didn't add anymore voltage to any of them cos I'm still on stock cooling Still am happy at 85% OC'ed, CPU Idle at 45'C ~ 48'C @ stock cooling My KVR with unknown chipset earlier do not like after 834 which is 412 but still is good to check CPU OC potential QUOTE(kucingfight @ Dec 7 2007, 11:59 AM) mm any value rams should be able to do 450mhz no prob ... u don need some better rams to test the limit of ur CPU oc This post has been edited by Shoot@M3: Dec 7 2007, 10:51 PM |

lol, guess can't really tell unless u go beyond the critical limit... and risk frying your processor. This question is more likely to be answered by those who fried before or those who has extra bucks to spare. I'm just stock Vcore user cos all on stock cooling, never liked to increase any Voltage since I dun have the extra bucks to play with

Mine @ 1.375Vcore and 3.33GHz but is it controlled by my mobo ? cos I set to auto rather than manual or should i set to manual? the bios warned to set to auto... gosh im confused QUOTE(seanhart @ Dec 13 2007, 12:11 PM) |

MY DS3L no Firewire, no Raid and less USB connections i think Try go gigabyte check the S series.. If not mistaken 'DS' has more solid capacitors for me DS3L is enough edi.. |

Wow, if IP35-E is really limiting it to only that voltage, that really does not help a lot in OC!
If that is the case, I think better get GB mobo cos mine can adjust up to 2V but careful, u dun wan to fry that processor QUOTE(Punish @ Dec 15 2007, 07:36 AM) e2180 for 1.36 vcore huh....mine can stable 2.9 with stock vcore and stock cooler...maybe iam abit lucky than u...i want to touch the 3.2 mark but i think it need at least 1.4vcore....my stock cooler cannot handle it.....only 1.36v my temp go up to 64*c ok my question is why my Abit IP35-e cannot do 400FSB...anyone with this kind of mobo please comment...my friend say must up the Vtt voltage to alleast 1.3v but sadly my mobo VTT can go max 1.235 only....so does it mean my mobo cannot handle 400FSB cuzz lack VTT voltage. want to oc my system so badly...still lag playing Hellgatelondon with DX10high setting even with my new 8800GT GTG |
