QUOTE(sparrowed @ Mar 1 2008, 12:56 AM) http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu_2007.htm...2=883&chart=425compare E4 and E2 reveals interesting result (esp in games). ~15% performance. anyway, 3.104 Ghz is the sweet spot for E2160 OC (at least with my M0 + freaking small HSF); 1.30Vcore is needed to achieve that speed only(with full stability of coz). speed higher than 3.104Ghz need exponential increase of Vcore, which isnt worth at all. From the chart, it also shows the E8500 and QX9650 difference in game is almost none

QUOTE(suicideroach @ Mar 9 2008, 01:04 AM) @Bigblock when u bought ur E2160? I think the latest batch is not so good la even it is MO rev. My E2160 also got difficulty to OC above than 3.2ghz The late ones are a lot worse than the earlier ones It's more worth it to get used Core Duo's if you want to overclock.

Since the new Wolfdales are in town, older C2D's tend to be a bit cheaper and some of them overclocks well. Perhaps you can try surf around in "Garage Sales"

QUOTE(heizad @ Mar 11 2008, 01:39 AM) nvm bro my e2160 doing quite well but need to bump more vcore i guess..maybe after get the cm hyper 212 i will continue to push my proc higher... I guess hitting 3.2Ghz shouldn't have much issues with the E2160 All the best of luck!
