MGS Subsistence LE has 3 dvds; disc one for the enhanced game, two for online mode and the ROMs and the rare 3 rd disc contains cinematics edited by Kojima himself to deliver that MGS3 movie feeling. Most of the susbsistence ownsers only managed to get the normal one..sigh..but one thing, MGS is an open game. the players can backtrack here and there.

xbox 360 new batch should have build in hd-dvd...kalau tak macam menipu aje microsoft...

No they dont tipu, they specificly said there's no built in hd-dvd and 360 games wont be using hd-dvd. Unless i miss the news/announcement or something

yea la, u have a choice of not to buy xbox or ms products. U cant really blame them

Konami is very tight lipped about whether it would go multi platform or not, if it won't they can just simply announce it. maybe they have signed exclusive release deal with sony, such deal usually for period of time only. if the deal is for this year only, we might hear more next year.


360 fanbase won't buy MGS? i don't believe that. MGS is not only popular in japan, but the whole world.


since HD-DVD player price drop less than $200, MS should just sell the HD-dvd drive at $50 - $100 and start releasing games in HD-DVD.

btw, googling "hd-dvd player price" comes out results with more links to 360 add-on rather than about standalone player.

yup yup agreed, then we have Xbox 360 Ultimate edition next. Btw, i've just read that PGR4 devs said that the game is already constrained by the DVD size limit. Because of that, the devs will not put in different times of day in racing locations due to the disk not being able to fit all the texture data on a single DVD. However, the devs will compensate by providing different lighting models for each city.

something that bummed me is that MGS4 online is too similar (or exactly the same) as any fps or 3rd person shooter. it's just about shooting people, unlike how the single player story is played. in single player you mostly in stealth, taking down enemy or avoid them altogether by your brain and not guns, the soldier are only small part of your objective whereas the main priority is to get the job done. if MGS4 online is only about shooting other people then i played it before in Q-S, GR, R6, COD, GoW, PDZ, OFP, BF, Halo, FSW, Doom, and much more of their franchise and reincarnations.

they should copy SC instead of GR. SC really shows how stealth game is played online.

i played the MGS Online. its an open ended game.

i dont think they should 'copy' SC. it already has a good formula. why fix it when its NOT BREAK?

Like the series, its an OPEN GAME. you have your style, to go guns blazing, or to sneakily pass the guard, the same thing with the online component.

its not like kojima gives snake a huge ass experimental weapon with everything but he cant even swat a fly with it through a level

its a open game, too many alarms, the rating will suck and the guards will be all over the place, not a game over.

Kojima Productions hasnt confirmed an online component to MGS4.
they've only confirmed a MGO.(and shown pics of it,too)
