Hi everyone. I am asking if there is such thing as restraining orders in Malaysia? Or anything similar to it? I would like to know if the abused victim can get the authorities to prevent his/her immediate family members from every approaching and reaching out to them again in the near future.

If there is a website or a hotline for such kind of issues, please suggest it as I'd like to have a look. I'd like to know the procedures too (if any/applicable).

Hey there. It wasn't much when I did a bit of researching here and there. Since that Malaysia does not have a very solid "restraining order", but there are ways to lessen the blow. Since you mention about your friend trying to get away from her abusive ex, she will have to contact WAO Malaysia.
