Recently tested using Setel payment to DuitNow QR code with stan chart Simply card. CS reports that the MCC is 6540 for that transaction (ewallet reload), so can't be considered as petrol transaction or dining transaction.

Of course cardterus (select the relevant CC as payment source and then scan a DuitNow QR)

Payment history under Setel app just shows one transaction

Description is 'DuitNow - XXX' with the name of the shop. If you click in to it, you can see the amount, date, time, paid to (merchant name), Transaction ID and DuitNow transaction ID. So doesn't show two transactions (silent reload).

Nice thing is that every transaction also you can resend the receipt to your email (or download a PDF of just that transaction). Nowadays banks got all the fancy website simple thing like that also can fail (e.g. RHB).

Okay for this past month I tried my Stan Chart Simply card again. Let me ask CS again and see how. I have two transactions, one is directly pay petrol at Petronas using Setel app, another is pay for food using DuitNow QR scanned with Setel. Both of them show as Setel Selangor MY in description....

So conclusion is that Setel app differentiates between spend on petrol and other spend, and charges the CC accordingly.

Has CardTerus QR stopped working? Nowadays I scan those pink DuitNow QR code and cannot select my credit cards for payment.
