Cash top up is now possible via counter. Last time I request to enable top up via PGC. Would be nice if they also allow this for PGC and Lazada eVoucher so that can consolidate into just the setel app.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Apr 20 2022, 06:13 PM) Digi RM5 is sold at RM4 every few days (but not today), ie ShopeePay RM3 + 100 coins. My motivation is to use up the shopeecoins. RM100 setel can use up 2500 coins.Buy Petronas eVouchers RM20 with Digi Credit RM19. (only RM20 eVoucher is available for this month) |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Apr 20 2022, 06:23 PM) My motivation is to use up the Shopee Coins + Cheap fuel. If not for the setel + shopee coins combo, I would use Lazada VC instead for petronas e voucher. Or could go back to shell + shopee coins combo.ShopeePay RM60 (total) + Shopee Coins 2000 (total) -> Digi credit RM100 Digi credit RM19 x5 ie RM95 -> Petronas fuel RM100 Out of Topic: Hotlink is giving free RM5 Shell voucher, RM5 Petronas voucher, RM5 TNG PIN and RM3 Shopee discount voucher, per Hotlink account. Raya gift. So to any Setel representative reading this, if you want to encourage the usage of your setel app, stop delisting setel from shopee. |

QUOTE(red streak @ May 8 2022, 09:37 PM) It's not delisting lah. They just ran out of stock. I religiously check their remaining units every other week and every time they run out, it takes longer and longer to restock for whatever reason. Either it's not worth the effort generating the codes or there's an issue with their voucher system. In the past few months I noticed this trend and started buying a few months' worth of fuel at once. If you check your voucher redemption history, you can see which batch the group of vouchers are from. My bet is they'll only restock it later this month or next. I have been checking the store about 5-10x daily for over three weeks. Initially the CS replied the voucher has been stopped due to end of promotion. And cannot confirm whether they are continuing or closing their shopee shop. Then asked me to check directly with their marketing team. Close the help centre and replace with chatbot je la.This post has been edited by Human Nature: May 8 2022, 10:03 PM |

QUOTE(red streak @ May 9 2022, 12:02 AM) Dude I've been tracking it since last year instead of your mere weeks. You can refresh all you want but it won't change anything. The restock interval just keeps longer and longer which is why I kept constant track of their inventory and just stocked up massively on vouchers before they ran out again depending on my cashback quota. The last time I asked them when the next restock was, they told me it was a month later....after weeks of it being out of stock. This was before this latest incident. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up removing the Shopee shop entirely since they're losing money to all the fees when they could just get 100% of the topup from the Setel app. It makes no sense for them to drag out it this long otherwise when they could just push a button and output a fresh batch of voucher codes. Well yeah, I don't dispute anything that you mentioned. In fact, if you bothered to check, the latest batch of vouchers were generated in January and then ran out sometime in late March or early April. They had tens of thousands of RM100 vouchers to begin with for that particular batch which is how long it took to run out. It's now May. That's how little they give a shit about restocking the vouchers. The batch before that was generated in November and then ran out I believe in December. It took them an entire month or so to restock new ones. Before that every month had a fresh batch. November even had two that I know of. It was nice while it was lasted since it was the only way for me to get indirect cashback for refueling on weekdays thanks to shitty ass AMEX. |

QUOTE(Leslie2021 @ May 9 2022, 11:47 AM) Really salute you for the research done. Just keep my finger's crossed that Setel voucher will return to Shopee soon. Using Setel is far more convenient than using e-voucher. With Setel, I do not need to enter the shop and deal with cashier. Very good during this pandemic time Hhaa yeah, I know right. Dislike that the staff need to handle our phone to key in for e-voucher. |

QUOTE(Barricade @ May 21 2022, 09:55 AM) Any better reason for me to use Setel app to refuel when I can get 5% cashback during weekend on AMEX? Basically none, unless you are going for the mesra badges which I dont bother too. |

Some petronas stations able to pay directly using shopeepay and tng, so setel will die a quick death if they want to continue restricting the purchase of setel reload credits

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ May 21 2022, 03:27 PM) Lol you can directly top up at Setel App using any Visa or MasterCard including the credit cards that still give online cashback to E-wallet transactions. At the MCC thread, the code for Setel was reported 5541 (Petrol) in year 2020. Change to online transation already? You can also top up Setel at Petronas stations using cash, just like buying or top up Petronas Giftcard. Still a lot of people using cash or debit card to pay for Petrol. FYI not only ShopeePay and TNG ewallet, some stations accept Maybank QRPay (Duitnow QR), scan & pay RM30 may win up to RM100. In Kuching, I can use SPay Global (SarawakPay) at the petrol station, no need to enter the kedai mesra, just scan the merchant QR and show to the cashier. |
