Have never bought any AP set before. But was thinking of SD chips so wondering, what's the low down of getting AP set? What to look out for? Thanks

Still using the original screen protector that comes with the phone. Nothing much wrong with it. May be 1 or 2 scratches.

I read some of you got your battery changed at the service center just before the warranty ends. How do you people do that?

curve got its advantages i guess tho they moving to less curve lately.
better screen ratio .

accidental touch can be prevented anytime if they are enabled
*
for me, the only thing good about curve screen is, it looks better. Practically wise, none for me.

Using Note 20 as example. The flat screen of N20's replacement cost is RM340 cheaper than curved N20U

i plan to upgrade my Note 10 (not plus version) to S20 SE is that worth?

bigger battery , better processor , 120hz screen
*
In theory, yes but you never know.

I have a Note 20 with bigger 4300mAh battery and better processor and I struggle to get 5 hours SOT with 20% battery left. My friend has a Note 10 with 3500mAh can get 6 hours SOT like a piece of cake with same 20% battery left.

Note 20 don't have 120hz , if not i already upgrade , need the ultra version only have

summore i plan use flat screen because i use for gamming too , curve screen a little bit not suitable
*
120hz is nice but for me, the Ultra has it's downsize. Primarily size/weight and slower to focus camera.

Beside, to choose between Hz vs battery, I would have set it to 60Hz anyway if it save on battery.

I don't think I can live with this.

Thought s21 can use pen? Just not put inside the phone
*
S21U is already 227gm. Add in a case with pen, probably another 40gm. I don't fancy carrying 1/4 kg of thing in my pocket. Totally not practical for me.

Is it worth to buy new Note 10 plus snapdragon now to replace my old note 8?
My budget is only < RM 3K and I need a good camera for my work (mostly product photos).
*
I was in your position a month ago. I decided to go for Note 20 because it has supposedly better camera and I wanted proper warranty and they have similar battery size. The 5G is just an icing on the cake. I got it for RM3K with 2 free gifts (which they claim worth RM500+).

WAH! What a good deal! Note 20 or 20 Ultra?
*
N20 from online. I find the N20U too big & heavy. But main reason is, I find the N20U camera's focusing is slower and taking photos of documents seem to have soft edges.

Depends actually, if I want to charge overnight I use wireless else I use cable for fast charging
*
I avoid wireless because I find the phone gets hotter. Not good for the battery.

Whenever possible, cable for me. For overnight, I disable the super fast charging.

Oh.. This is the shop where i bought my galaxy watch active2 for RM839. hahaha. One of the best prices I have gotten compared to other sellers on lazada platform. The seller also PJ, their shop is official samsung shop. biggrin.gif hehe Prices are cheap and good. used to buy my note 4 there. xD

But i thought the camera are the same? How could it be smaller? lol. Honestly I would have gotten the Note 20U.. lol. But already bought Note 10+, so yeah.. might wait for a good sale and discount before changing xD hehehe.
*
I find their service amazing and prices are the cheapest I could find

Camera wise, N20 and Note10+ I think is different.

Go Google N20U's camera focusing issue. N20U's camera only wins hands down in zooming.

wait ur comparison is N20vs note10+ or no20u vs note10+
for me i wouldnt go note20 as it has weaker build quality (plastic back), esynox 990 (not a very good processor) , super amoled screen only (note10 dynamic amoled) , no 120hz, not so versatile camera (on paper due to main camera not having variable focal length, slower charging speed (25w vs 45w).
the only reason for note20 over note10+ is the software update.

note20U is another story as a whole.
*
I would disagree.

I was comparing N20 vs Note10+.
1. Plastic back. Once you have cover on, can't see anything anyway. If you don't put cover, you worry about breakage
2. Processor. Both Exynos.
3. Screen. Both 60Hz. Unless side-by-side comparison, I doubt can tell the difference between dynamic vs super amoled for everyday use. And I never play game.
4. Camera. N20 supposedly slightly better.
5. 5G. Not important but no harm having either.
6. Charging speed. Don't intent to buy the 45W charger. I even disable the Super Fast Charging to maintain battery.

I actually dislike the N20U.
1. Screen resolution. I will likely stick to 60Hz to preserve battery.
2. Camera. I don't like the slower focusing and the lag between frames. And taking documents, it has a softer edge. And I almost never take zoom shots.
3. Extra weight/size/price.

Having used note 20 ultra, I can say the battery is a beast with 120ghz on. Its adaptive and will scale down and up based on content.

It's screen is also another level compare to note 10plus
Camera is also top notch, little lag here and there in real life can't tell difference imo

Yes the weight is heavy lol
*
Yours Exynos or SD?

I read an reviews, the adaptiveness of the variable refresh only save battery in gaming only. But I can say the scrolling is definitely nicer over the 60Hz

As for the camera. I tried them side by side in shop and for normal point & shoot, I can't tell any difference in photo quality between the 2. But at close up, N20U clearly focus slower and softer edge compared to the N20 and I often take photos of documents.

Exynous set

Not sure how low the adaptive refresh rate will do down to la, but at least it help save battery then ok liao

Ohhh, haven't take much document with the camera before so can't tell
*
I read this. It says only in 3D gaming does the variable refresh rates save battery. Otherwise N20 and N20U not much difference.
https://www.phonearena.com/news/samsung-gal...y-test_id126662

For me, the N20's battery is a bit disappointing. My Note 8 with just 3300mAh battery drops 2% standby overnight. The N20 with bigger 4300 mAh drops 4%. Both Exynos.

But very good playing youtube. Drops 7% for 1 hour of Youtube. So I suspect those who got high SOT probably play a lot of youtube.

Damn pissed. Change to whatsapp call.

A few of us have Samsung phones and either on Celcom or Redone (supposedly on Celcom infrastructure). None of us have this problem.

S21+ is great in terms of size, weight and battery size. However, if and only if it comes with 2K display.
*
The spec looks similar to Note 20 5G but more expensive at RM4200. Samsung last week only sell the Note 20 5G for RM3000.

alot difference wor.
processor and variable refresh rate screen is worth the money already
*
for me, not worth the RM1000+ difference. As for refresh rate, I would prioritize battery life over 120hz.

But you can set the refresh rate on S21 to 60Hz to save battery too. The Note 20 3k price is only online right? In store I don't think you can get it for such a low price yet.
*
Precisely one of the reason why I did not get the 120Hz N20U. If I set it at 60Hz, no point getting a 120Hz phone if it impacts on battery life. Of course, 120Hz is nicer when scrolling put I prioritize battery instead

Another reason is weight. I don't like phone heavier than 200g.

Samsung website was offering the N20 5G for RM3000 a couple of weeks ago. I got mine online can get at that price also + free gifts
