I just got my phone yesterday it seems like my battery is draining quite fast and it gets increasingly warmer while I'm watching youtube. Is this normal? By the way my old phone is A5 (2017).

Add your apps into Sleeping Apps and let your phone runs for few more days because the system needs to build cache and the processor is doing its task.

I just received my Note 10+ last Tuesday and wholly agree that the battery life is rubbish compared to Huawei. Can barely give me 5 hours of SOT with normal usage (no gaming, camera only used to scan Mysejahtera) from 8am to 9pm. Every time I unlock and do something with my phone (even if just 1 min), the battery will drop 1 percent. I tried switching to 1080p but noticed zero improvement in battery life. Now I stopped bothering and switched back to 1440p. However, standby drain seems fine as I only lost 4-5% overnight.

Have no idea how some owners in other forums can claim to get 8 to 10 hours of SOT consistently.

Have you put apps into sleeping apps? Except apps like WhatsApp

its been like that since anyone uses a samsung. Even my crappy RM450 phone have longer battery life than a samsung i think something got to do with the ONE UI

And yes, cheap phone of course have good battery life. Just like you are telling me a Kancil is more fuel efficient than a Mustang. My POCO X3 can reach 11 hours SOT.

I used this app before and I disabled YouTube cuz I'm using YouTube Vanced, but recently the app is broken and I subscribed to YouTube Premium. So the only way is to factory reset the phone to get it back working. Does your package disabler app can still be opened?

think it this way. Does the car always run like ferrari. It so called low power when running normal task i tried hua wei for 1 week the same usage i use can last 3 days while samsung can last 1 day is already WOW. Hua wei have a crappy UI . You mean you pay 3k to 4k phone it does not know how to manage its power you need to drive a kancil to manage its power better?
*
Huawei phone keep killing apps in the background and reduce texture while gaming to achieve better battery life. I could leave my facebook in the background and the next day when I open it again, it will still be there.

I have to put all app to sleep, except whatsapp only
Sot now is 8 hours.

Previously when the phone is new, probably sot 3 hours only. Dint have the accucharge app last time.
Main culprit is google browser
*
I know Google app consumed a lot of battery in the background. I don't use it or Google Assistant anyway, so I disabled it.

I use multiple samsung phone until now 1st thing is disable those junk google apps
Google assistant
Google chrome
Play movie
Google Talkback (some device)
Google play music (old phone)
And other did not remember
*
yup same, I disable and uninstall all those apps that I don't use. If not they will be running in the background to suck battery and consume RAM

That what iphone does too. It kills apps as well.
*
Not for the latest iPhone I guess. It can keep apps in the background because of its larger RAM compared to its predecessor.

my maxis plan is ending this august haha, might go for oneplus this time around

s23 abit far no haha ?

Why OnePlus now? They are going backwards especially on their updates. Before this, OnePlus and Google will be the first to get monthly security patches, but now their flagship 7 Pro or 8 Pro is still on Nov 2020 security patch. Also, Samsung provides 3 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches which make no sense of choosing OnePlus unless you are trying out something new?

S21+ is great in terms of size, weight and battery size. However, if and only if it comes with 2K display.

The spec looks similar to Note 20 5G but more expensive at RM4200. Samsung last week only sell the Note 20 5G for RM3000.
*
But the processor is much better in terms of battery efficiency

for me, not worth the RM1000+ difference. As for refresh rate, I would prioritize battery life over 120hz.
*
But you can set the refresh rate on S21 to 60Hz to save battery too. The Note 20 3k price is only online right? In store I don't think you can get it for such a low price yet.

best note feature for me.
however already last note.

tho s21+ is my choice before testing.
if got chance i buy s21.
price reasonable.
s21+ just add battery and some screen size.
s21 ultra is too bulky even without cover on.
gosh if with flip case and pen.

Oh...After long thinking for a recent Samsung move to shift the Note series release on next year, I do think it is indeed a great move.

S series alternate with Note Series, since both of them is a flagship series.
Then along with the S and Notes, will come the Clampshell series too.

Good us economicaly and also good for them, since nobody will compare between Notes and S series.

Since the AMD will come to the chip making, I have strong confident that Samsung will leads the Smartphone battle again.
*
I really hope the next Exynos chip with AMD GPU will be better than next Snapdragon chip. I'm tired of seeing people talking about Samsung not bringing Snapdragon variant to Malaysia market.
