Hi, anyone ever encountered a software update which consumed 6% battery? lol. Just curious. I just updated my note10+ and the battery before update was 72%, then after update completed battery was 66%. lol.

you are welcome! not sure how much it affect battery life tho.

i just notice mine was slow when i tried sending out whatsapp messages.

on wifi 100mbps but takes more than 10 second to send out

Who provide you this info? Normally Note series smartphones will received two years update. Security update still available even after two years of usage.

I normally plug in charge during update.
Worry half way no power then bricked device.

You sure Vietnam set is SD?
I only know China, HK and Taiwan got the SD version over here in Asia.

The difference is probably only on the number of SIM supported (besides the plug type).

Software wise may have customization if it's a operator set (US normally).

Suggest you to find out if it's a retail version or not.

Yeps. Still heats up my pocket once awhile when it's randomly dialling numbers in the emergency dialing page. Lucky never call though. Only once when I didn't use fingerprint or pattern keylock did it dial someone through messenger.

Anyone know how much to replace the rear lens glass?
Don't know why suddenly back glass and lens glass cracked, I'm using Spigen Tough Armor.
Never happen to my previous Note, 7, 8, 9 which using same Spigen tough armor. Is note 10+ glass more fragile compare to predecessor?

That is strange. The glass that protects the lens is usually more durable than the front and back glass.

More strange is I did paste a lens glass protector on it.
All found cracked when I take out from case to clean

Yep, mine is memang double tap and face unlock. Mainly because in the office I use the wireless charger stand and also as a holder whne not charging. Double tap and glancing at the screen to unlock is so much easier than feeling for the side buttons or pressing the screen to activate fingerprint and causing the phone to be pushed backwards.

If you does not really care about CPU performance, and battery stanby a bit short from s10 lite

Mine lost 6%. xD Hahaha. And it was quite hot. lol

I did not notice mine becoming hot. Guess its the stuff we install in. I have only 429 apps to be optimized.

My home screen app all mixed up after update, had to rearrange haha

Then how did it activate in the pocket

Dunno how many percent but it was hot tho

Even putting heat sink on the back, the front was still hot so it made me buy another heat sink to put both back and front next time

u will see the difference is the estimated time to full charge

too many type of charging watt available now so hard to name them all.
or maybe should do super charging v1 v2 and so on

Anyone here disabled fast charging and is happy to let the phone charge slowly like up to two hours sometimes? I do that coz I only charge the phone before going to bed every night and am in no hurry for it

Ya, I'm using my old school iPad 12W charger that I also use to charge my iPhones and iPads as well It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to go from 50% to full for me most of the time.

I think overcharging is more harming the battery than fast charging. Not sure. Is this why many samsung phones after 2 years batt performed poorly?

Most probably. I used to use Note 8, when my screen cracked and i sent for service they told me to replace the battery also. I said okay. So now its pretty good. Still need to charge once a day though. My note 10+ now usually once a day also, if morning 100%, by 6pm im getting 20-30% left.

maybe due to the poor battery performance of the phone last time.

ppl used to charge their phone 2-3 times a day which reduces its lifespan.

nowadays alot phones can last a day which means only 365 charges a year.

im unsure if usage of powerbank do deteriorate batteries.

anyway i only charge my huawei phone like once a day on average
3 years + d now only see deterioration

Well i guess evidently every user with 2 years old device will have to change the battery just to make sure the performance reach the optimum. Not necessarily good but OK. But my n10 plus performed just like urs in normal day. I did shown when abused kaw2 ur n10 plus will come to 2% by 3pm. Haha. Guess i cant complained much. Its the trait of samsung afterall

I only tried once charging with powerbank. It was useless. Literally, after you see how the fast charging goes, using powerbank was like drinking a drop of water after u run fast for 2km non stop. When will people get it that using a powerbank is equal to not using at all?

anyway there are special power banks that charge quite decent just that they dont come cheap.

i have one for huawei but i dont use huawei as primary anymore.
so now is just the same as cheapo powerbank when use with samsung.
i bought it to be use while travelling last time.

Yeah, that's why I use a third party auto-disconnect cable, it cuts off the power when the phone is fully charged.

But seriously if I knew I would have solved the issue since s8 time already.
I can only guess they did not prioritise the promixity sensor from blocking accidental skin touch with your leg. You can actually experiment it yourself by turning off the screen and double tapping with your proximity sensor covered. It'll still wake up.

This is samsung's solution. Apparently the best fix is to disable the feature they provided for the end users to use.

Finally decided to retire my Note 5

Er no. My earlier example of it messenging others was many years ago before lockscreen was mainstream.
The big issue is that the screen keeps staying on until the phone heats up because it goes into emergency call mode and keep tapping the digits.

Still got Tab A to give away

btw i had a really hard time choosing between buying note 10+ or s10 lite
yes its 2 totally different class of phones, but initially i wanted to get s10 lite since its more wallet-friendly and i dont need such a high end phone.
then i thought about it and asked opinions from few friends who told me that since im already spending money on a new phone, might as well get a good one that can last me a few years.
and also i dont really like s10 lite's camera placement

i went to samsung last week and asked about the phone reception issue, the staff told me so far they havent had any complaints so far. i asked my friend whose sister is also using note 10+ and she says she hasnt encountered it also, so fingers crossed everything will be fine
