Theoretically, battery can maintain the best health overtime if you keep it’s charge between 50-90% all the time, and don’t let it overheat (charging while using/gaming at same time).
Some sources theorised that fast charging can negatively impact the battery health too, but I’ve yet find any solid proofs on that claim which isolates the heat factor from fast-charging factor, so I’m still neutral on this. Some fast charging can generate huge amount of heats though, especially if you charge the phone from sub 10% battery.
And yeah, I agree with you. It’s kind of anti-productive to follow all these good practices religiously just to preserve it slightly better than not doing so. No matter how careful you do it, battery still consistently degrading over time. And sometimes it aren’t even related to user’s behaviour.
Just use it as you like and spent additional RM200+/- after two-3 years to get a new battery, that is if you’re still keeping the same phone. You will have a better freedom and user experience this way, IMHO.
yeah man...that's my point....after 2/3 years....change battery or not ...then it will become my entertainment device at home for browsing internet before sleep etc...
use 3 years is for the system support...after that u also dont wanna use a phone that using obsolete system for those banking apps etc right (scared of security issue)
and tech evolve too fast...3 years...camera, chips etc all big leap...not to say its bad...it just hard to catch up with tech that time...u will feel...eh?photo that i snap not pretty enough...eh?why loading speed slow ler...eh?No 5G ah~~
so in the end...FxxK those good practise...3 years is my max ...just enjoy the phone to the max...gonna change it anyway due to aging tech or ...you know...DESIRE~~
