Hi guys, as per title above, I would like to ask if you guys do use any 3rd party batteries in your gear. I just had my 'new' 2nd hand 5DM2 and the battery seems run out faster than usual. Upon further checking, it seems like the recharge performance has dropped to the red zone.

Now afaik, Canon batteries are like RM3XX a piece and I'm no professional shooter so I cannot justify the cost of spending so much. Did some searching, I came across this afew 3rd party ones such as "Wasabi Power", "KingMa" and etc..etc.. These 2 seem to pop out a lot more often (perhaps they are the more popular 3rd party brands?)

If you guys did try them or am currently using them, do let me know whats the experience vs OEM ones.

Thanks guys!

Hit and miss thing. I bought Viloso brand for my Canon 5D3 and it's still ok after 2-3 yrs.
I bought Viloso for my Panasonic and it gets "bloated" and unusable after 2 yrs.

How does it compare to the OEM?

Say, clicks per full charge?

I didn't measure cos I got 1 ori + 2 oem enough to last me at least 2 full days' shoot. If u're concerned about optimal performance just buy ori.
In life, there is a compromise. One cannot expect something cheap to be good. smile.gif
