i have vg270p.
gsync works in overdrive. you can pick which ever mode.
the only problem is the monitor doesn't sleep after the 15 minutes of inactivity i set with display port on, the backlight doesn't turn off. dp is necessary for gsync with nvidia. hdmi works fine.

just got this monitor and having the same problem as u mentioned.

Do you manage to make it switch off backlights?

Also i did try HDMI connectivity but it only support 120hz. no point to use HDMI.

I'm on amd rx 580.
Hdmi works at 144hz 1080p.
Use the supplied cable.
Or your gpu hdmi is old spec?
What is your gpu?

If you have to use displayport because nvidia.
Gsync doesn't work on hdmi.
Just press the off button on the monitor or hit the power switch. Mine is under the table.

I would go for Acer monitors, i've been using it for about 3 years already. Still serving me well until now. Never had any problems, pretty solid from Acer

So, already bought the 24' but got problem with dead pixel/ somerandom black line pop up. Then got swap with 27' from rma coz 24' got no stock. And i know it sound crazy maybe i just lucky enough at that time. So far 27' it quite big for me but the response time n refresh rate just same as 24' model. Maybe coz i already used with small screen. The stand also quite big especially that round shape which eat lot of space( i use linnmon ikea). Hope this help

Sorry to tumpang this thread. How to adjust the height for the xv240yp? I somehow read somewhere this can be adjusted but I not manage to do so. Only able to rotate the monitor to portrait view.

Update: Pls ignore my noob question. Somehow figure it out. Current height is the highest therefore unable to make it higher. haha.

Just bought it 2 weeks ago. Mind blown by its performance-price. Totally worth it as gaming monitor.

How does its picture compare to the aoc 24g2, since the aoc has wider color gamut.

Aoc 24g2 Color Gamut NTSC 110% (CIE1976) / sRGB 126% (CIE1931) / DCI-P3 101%

Xv240yp Colour Gamut : 99% sRGB

Both using ips panel and the color are very vibrant and good compare to va or ta panel. I used Xv270yp btw. If you are using for gaming and light video and photos editing , i think xv and aoc are very decent (comparing the price). I do say that xv has a 165hz out of box while aoc 144hz, if you really care. If you have more money you could try asus lineup. I also want to say that those "numbers" are just marketing. You need to have very sensitive eye to see any difference coz it same ips panel.

Hey, thanks for sharing. I was curious actually about the AOC after testing my brother's xv240yp. I noticed the colours are slightly washed out compared to the HP 24y I have at home. I wonder how could the aoc have wider color gamut given it's the same panel. Probably it's the backlight that's different.

The aoc has the same panel as asus vg249q and msi g241 as well. And the colours are better than Acer's previous gen xv240, which is the vg240y. Correct me if I'm wrong.

There's also two versions of the aoc 24G2 (version 1 and 2.) Aoc secretly changed the panel in the newer versions so that it has better response time, reduced ghosting, in exchange for lower brightness and contrast.

Anyway, I'll be receiving the aoc soon and will post my thoughts here. I'd do a comparison video too if possible, to help those in the same boat.

I have two xv270yp and had the same issue with the backlight. the main monitor that have all three port connected, will occasionally turn on, even when pc, ps4 and switch turn off. I fix this by turn off the auto source.

As for the other monitor, that is connected with one hdmi to the hdmi of pc, does not hve the issue.

I too have this issue. I'm not sure is it GPU or monitor related, because ever since I upgraded my GPU I'm having this issue.

I didn't.
You have to use hdmi.
