This one takes trial and error.

I started out with several which caused it now taking Exforge and Nebilet, since then never had any issues with dry cough, taken for 4 years now. Only thing is Exforge can make you very horny all the time.

when you said trial and error, did you take these on your own over the counter or prescribed by the doctor? I do not if these are controlled medicine

Anyone with blood pressure issues should consult with a cardiologist before attempting any sort of medication.

Different drugs control your pressure differently.

Some for example relaxes and expands your blood vessels, some thins your blood and some slows your heart rate, only a cardiologist can properly diagnose what type or combination of types that you would need to adequately control or treat the hypertension.

A good cardiologist would also give you suggestions to control your blood pressure using changes in lifestyle if it is still possible before prescribing any medications.

No hypertension drugs can be bought off the counter without a prescription.

You might want to sort it out before it can only be sorted out by medications.

Some people no matter what will need medications to control it though.

Well here's my recent experience.

During CNY period, back to home cooked food by my mom and being forced to eat lots of fruits, my BP become so low that I stopped taking my meds. Even after stopping meds it was around the 115-120 range. Now holiday season over, back to eating outside food most of the time, I'm back on meds again.

Like what doctors say la. Sigh, I want to live long to enjoy the fruits of my labor but as it is now....

.
Holiday = no stress = BP low.

Looks like your job is giving you stress = BP high.

Maybe you need to aim lower and have less financial commitments.

Anyone here taking bp meds .. anyone here knows what bp meds that cannot make you cough or dry cough etc ..

All BP medications have side effects the scale of the effect depends on each individual.

I think you should consult doctor which type can control your BP. Thats the most important and not the side effect unless your cough is serious.
