Xiaomi is the last of the flagship killers as far as price is concern. The Mi 9 last year and Mi 9T Pro was testament to that. OP has gone with premium pricing where else Huawei has a phone that fits customer's budget, but without GMS they are kinda backed into a corner.

The covid19 outbreak certainly doesn't help things as well. So yeah, price may be higher this round.

Xiaomi flagship fits my budget and living style nowadays if i were to change phone.
No more Samy S and Note series for me , afterall they are all almost the same.

well, from this 3999 rmb for entry level mi10,i guess they also goes into premium market


3990rmb bout rm2,373 , all the way to rm3,561

but it makes sense since mi note 10 pro already price at rm2,399 for Snapdragon 730g, my wild guess for mi 10 is rm2,699

Samsung's gotten greedy with the S20 Ultra. RM4999 for a device with just 128GB storage. That's close to Apple territory already

What if the op8 come with inferior camera than mi10.....that 108mp is quite hard to beat....from the rumors....the op8 gonna come with just imx686...its the same sensor similar to that poco x2 k30...it is a decent sensor but i doubt it can match the 108mp on mi10....and if the op8 really come with that mid-range imx686, i guest its gonna be the same story to all the bbk family phone like realme x50 pro for example.....bbk sure gonna all out on theirs fast charging technology & oxygenOS....but other than that mi10 series is still offer better spec overall...

So my point is the mi10 series this year looks like a solid phone and hard to beat....but again its all depends on the price....

A little interesting fact i learned about when I was watching youtube review. It seems that Mi 10 pro will be using Samsung Oled screen for the first few batches. After that, they will turn into local panels for faster production line.

This means that once it reaches our shore, the Mi 10 pro you all gonna get probably will be using China's local panel instead of Samsung. Do take note if you guys care about the screen panel quality.


Ps: Not sure about regular Mi 10 though since the review never mention about the regular one.

Tried Mi note 10 pro, mi note 10, iphone xs max... all same weight as mi 10 pro so i guess same feeling when play it on hand lol...

i think if xiaomi use android one or stock android experience then it will attract more users.. MIUI still may have bugs or some people do not like it..

however, someone who will buy Mi flagship definitely is opt for cheaper flagship among android phone without care on the UI and bugs..

I remember when i bought Mi 9 for my gf just priced at RM1999.. if there is 3k for mi 10 then quite a huge price increase.. but with these hardware, i think should be fine.. but all depending on how you think.. majority people around me willing to topup and go for iPhone. while there are few people will to take old flagship.. in market, price drop with big gap is like p30, s10 & etc.

I concur. I bought and used the Mi A1 and it was pretty good

But even on Android one xiaomi still have slow updates compared to other phones..

yeah i did use Mi A1 before.. really stock android which i really like it.. but i remember that time chipset is SD625.. sometime may slow a bit for certain situation.. Overall still is a good midrange with good battery life..

Android one really slow updates as far as i know.. MIUI do have fast update, quote example in Mi 9.. get android 10 quite fast.. however, it do have some bugs.. may google search like facebook download manager notification (keep popping out), fingerprint scanner problem..

however, the issue do have better resolve in latest updates.. (Based on my gf Mi 9 experience). cause i need to help her on this kind of thing..

i do hope some battery optimization behind the system dont be so aggressive in MIUI / EMUI (Huawei).. they really killed the apps to achieve longer battery life.. one example that really disturb me a lot is Chromecast (Google Home app).. i cannot control after i turn off the screen cause system really killed it.. i have to reconnect my chromecast again).. my Sony Xperia 1 do not have this kind of issue..

few thing u can do.
1. lock that apps, so it won't shut down.
2. Battery saving mode set to no restriction for the apps.

Yeah, I had another pure Android phone, the Asus Max Pro M1, and the monthly security updates and bug fixes were faster than the Mi A1. I sold the phone before the major update though.

I agree, the SD625 had some challenges but overall it wasn't too bad for me. But yeah, EMUI and MIUI is not for everyone
