Suspension is not cancellation. It really depends how successful Europe is at containing the virus. They could postpone the remaining matches and play them in the summer, considering international cups are getting postponed to next year. Even if they do cancel this season completely, no one knows if we will even be able to start next season within schedule. Some experts have estimated that this pandemic might last until the end of the year.

It's more than just about Liverpool though, there other things that are still being contended, namely 2 CL spots apart from Liv and City's of course, and the 3 relegated teams. Liverpool might be far away enough that if we were just handed the title, it would be hard to argue against, but other positions are far from decided. There's just way too much money at stake here, especially for the relegated teams.
