Lampard knew what he was getting into when he took the job......so its no surprise for him ...he knows the club expectation, he was there when roman took over and spend alot , he knows roman & board members , he also knows that failure below the standard of the club will get him sack so that why i not so afraid if lampard here or not .....the club expectation is always challenging for all major honours.
The way Chelsea is run is that we spend alot on potential players is for having the squad for challenging the titles with or without a manager.
Thats how the Bayern Munich model is build on.....meaning even without a manager....they will still be challeging for titles cause they have the players to do it. Example, Kovac was Bayern munich manager ex player got sack....and assistant manager Flick also ex player for bayern munich took over and won Treble.
As long as Chelsea keep signing the right players similar to these window...in next 5 , 10 , 15 , 20 years....Chelsea will be always be challenging for titles. Whether Lampard is here or not....The Alex Ferguson & Arsene Wenger are one off from the normal.....thats why Arsenal and Man Utd are struggling to challenge for titles. They are not use to sacking manager's ...they always waiting for the right one.....well big news there is no right one....they were just lucky to get those manager that stays with the club for 20 years cause they were winning title after title......
Where else Chelsea are used to challenging for titles and sacking manager's along the way so for us this is normal.
Structure of the football club is most important....as long there is a structure....Chelsea will be challenging always.
Lampard have 3 year's......now left 2......we will see after this coming season if he last till the 3rd.
I do agree with most of your points, just want to add that we were challenging before all because of the Old Guards, players who hold the team together regardless of who was the managers.
If we can form a new Old Guard that control the team and we are okay with revolving door managers style.
