Stupid bunch of corrupt cowards. How much are the EPL paying them to keep the top 4 race exciting? Whole lot of them. Useless.

Big, big win. Best antidote for that utd loss, but VAR still tries to screw us yet again. Are these guys on the take or something? These decisions aren't even hard, a normal person with ZERO refereeing experience could get those calls right without a second thought, but these guys who are supposedly paid professionals can't?
The thought that this stupid system will still be there to mess with us for the remainder of the season is scary. The guys behind the monitor should seriously be investigated, something's not right. Barring that silly rudiger deflection, this was as close to a flawless performance as you can get. Annoyed that tammy didn't put his chance away. His was arguably the easiest out of all our goals and he can't even finish that, when mount put it on a plate for him. Not enough contact on the ball, and that's not the first time this has happened. Horrible, horrible miss imo. This post has been edited by Kerplunk: Feb 22 2020, 10:39 PM |

QUOTE(briantwj @ Feb 22 2020, 10:42 PM) I am particularly impressed by Barkley as well. He created a few good chances, good link up play with him and Giroud and Mount as well. Hope he keeps that up. First I thought oh come on barkley take the shot, then alonso slams it in so he gets the assist! He was very good in finding space today, impressed by his composure in such a huge match. Decision making was a bit off, but that's understandable. Hopefully Giroud would now want to stay. And Lamps will use more of Giroud. It's so friggin obvious Giroud's link up play is much more better than Tammy. If Lamps can bench Kepa, he should have the balls to bench Tammy as well. We need players like Giroud. Trains hard, able to perform when needed. Giroud to start vs bayern for me as well, the man has earned it. Technique on that shot was superb, and his hold up play is really something else. Hope lamps saw this and continues with him. |

It's starting to become more obvious, we just look more fluid in the middle without kante . Did he perform better in sarri's system though?i believe so. This year it seems a lot like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole and often times he just looked like he's neither here nor there when it comes to defending / attacking. Excels in neither, and I honestly cannot recall a standout performance from him under frank.
Our results without him on the field speak volumes, hence if lamps' persists with this system I don't see any reason not to listen to offers for him in the summer, sad as that sounds. We need to get input on how he feels, especially if someone makes a good offer. His all out high energy style also mean injuries will start to pile up as he ages, and it may be our last chance to get good money for him in this coming window. Not saying that we 100% need to cash in on him, but having a good chunk of extra funds to strengthen other areas of the squad would be wonderful. That new striker and LB is going to cost us a bomb. |

Can hardly believe we're still in it, with a cleansheet to boot. Bayern have been wasteful, but caballero is playing out of his skin at the moment. Our best player, by far. Best chance was alonso's marauding run and feint into their box, just failing to get that power he did vs spurs, and mount taking a poor touch when he should've been through on goal. Giroud has been ok. Needs to harass boateng a lot more.
Our mistakes around the back have been shocking, jorgi, kova, alonso, all guilty of dwelling on the ball/poor passes near our penalty area. Some big mistakes in there, and I think the next one will definitely be punished. Frank needs them to just hit it long to giroud if they're unsure. This is bayern, not some backwater EPL team. We've been lucky. |

They've totally outplayed us in every department. Fair play to bayern, they never needed any shitty VAR decisions to help them along, unlike the previous two teams we faced. We're just not good enough and couldn't take advantage of the half chances we had. No surprises here.

Guess our only saving grace is we somehow managed to keep a cleansheet in the first half. Damn it would totally suck to have 7 goals put past us like what happened with spurs. I don't think our team with such a young core of players would survive something like that, we'd probably lose all confidence and drop out of the top four race within a couple of weeks.
Bayern are a formidable team and I don't think anyone would want to face them in the next round. The pace, movement and speed of thought of their players were leagues ahead of us, and the gulf in class was a bit embarrassing to be honest. The 2 occasions where we really looked threatening was when mount broke through on goal during a counter, but I swear he looks like a deer caught in headlights whenever he's bearing down on the keeper. Practically zero confidence whenever a chance drops to him these days, such a far cry from his early season form. Energetic pressing is the only reason he's starting, and when ruben's fully fit I expect him take over his place in the team. Let's just regroup and hope RLC and at least cho are back with us so we can give them a bit of a fight at the alliance arena. In the meantime bournemouth are next. |

Yeaahhh very nice. What rubbish defending. I'd rather watch frigging sarriball for 10 hours straight than have to deal with this schoolboy defending week in, week out. It's March and we still can't defend setpieces properly. Absolute bullshit.
