I plan to buy a 2nd hand car.
Now shortlisted 2015 Teana XL 2.0 vs Sonata Executive 2.0. Both priced very similarly with Teana have the choice to extend warranty with Nissan by paying extra 2000-3000 because got full service record with Nissan. Sonata wise record was good but somehow no more warranty as the dealer say perhaps the last few service was not done with the SC.
Anyway, any comment about the car itself?

Sonata is a nicer looking car and proven reliability. As for Nissan Teana ride comfort is the best but lacking in reliability. Of course if you don’t mind paying for extended warranty then go for the car with warranty.

If want to talk about after sales service or spare part availability or options, Japanese cars will always an advantage (New, OEM or half-cut parts are a lot) compare to Korean made. Teana is a good car if you manage to get the 2.5 V6 model, not much issue with that.

I would avoid Teana as the CVT is notorious for premature failure.

Add a little bit and 2015 Mazda 6 2.5 is a much better choice or at least Honda Accord.

Teana for comfort, but based purely on amateur review and owner feedback, 2.0 version may seem abit sluggish and heavy.

Not sure about their current models but there are a few cases of class action lawsuits on the CVT Nissans in the States.

Yes, that why i am requesting TS to get the V6. That last model is a gem and not much issue reported until today.
Teana CVT already installed with external cooler from factory that why the failure rate is low if service earlier around 40~50k range.

that "little" is almost 40k. compare to the 65k i plan now, almost 2/3 =_=
i also like Mazda 6 2.5 very much, blind spot waning, auto stop etc. .. but 2015 cheapest above 90k, 2014 around 75k above with unknown condition

it feel sluggish when it's in ECO mode ... normal mode seems ok with my very limited driving experience in the car park

looking at the new facelift..comes with at least 4 airbags. of course x70 is the best choice..but prefer 7 seater.
