I think this whole Snapdragon, Exynos chip superiority complex is blown out of proportion. I was like most users here. I bought the S10+. Battery wasn't great so I started scouring on forums to try to get it better. Found out I had an inferior chip, the infamous Exynos. Fast forward a few months later found a buyer, sold it and got the Note 10+. This time surprise surprise battery life was great. Great would be over exaggerating but it was way better than my S10+. I could easily get through a day of medium to high usage with about 20-30% left when i get home, where as my S10+ would've been dead few hours before I got home.

Fast forward a couple of months again (a few weeks ago) I got bored of the Note 10+ and put it up for sale. A guy with the Asus ROG Phone 2 texted me wanting to swap. I thought why not, considering all the good things I've heard about the Snapdragon and knowing it has 6000 mAh battery it must be a powerhouse. I decided to give it a go.

F*#$ me did I regret it.

It's not that the phone wasnt a powerhouse, it was. I heard so many good things about the SD processor that I imagined that I would see a night and day difference between those 2 when in fact, I couldn't. Sure the high refresh screen made everything smoother but that's about it. People boasted about getting amazing battery life. For me, I got equally great battery life from the Exynos Note 10+. To me there were no significant difference in terms of performance for MY day to day use. Im sure for the diehards out there who look at benchmarks and test scores there is a difference. But for the average consumer like me, you won't see any difference. I miss my note 10+. It was an amazing phone that I gave up cause I was swayed by the hype of Snapdragon. Don't be me. Don't be stupid.

Yea the SD/Exynos talk is a bit too much. Attw should start a new thread to talk about that. Let's talk about the S20 Malaysians are getting instead of what some users want.

Whats the use of snapdragon chip if all you do is posting about exynos in lowyat android s10,note 10, s10 lite and s20 thread?

Give it a rest and give me a break.

We get you, SD > exynos, we know, we pay top dollar for phone, we know.

Edit:  yes we know, 1 year old s10 and 6 months old note 10 is slower than 1 week old s10 lite. We know how a new phone feels, yes we do.

Inbe4 factory reset your s10 exynos and try again.

Inbe4 battery drain, OMG my 1 year old battery is worse than 1 week old battery. Ok, noted.

Yeah.... if we can make old phones last a day of usage, why cant we do the same with newer, better and more advanced phones with a larger capacity battery. Personally I don't prefer charging my phone more than one a day.
Relax. I think he has gotten the point already. Just that he is stating his mind when its comes to comparing both the Procs. Anyway, lets move on to constructive discussion about the new S20/S20+ and S20U.
Maybe a worn out battery or a wakelock or an app is draining your battery. Have you checked?

I understand he's trying to get his point along but to keep repeating it is a bit much. If he's so passionate about it open another thread for anyone who's interested.

Interestingly, at my home my Oneplus7pro is on 3 bars signal and my Samsung S20+ can get full bar.. Speed on the S20+ is definitely faster.. lol..

S20 Ultra checking in here. Signal strength on my Ultra has 4 bars whereas my iPhone 11 Pro has 2 only. Both on Digi. Still testing the phone but damn the 120hz screen feels so good. Feels much better than the Rog phone 2. I think the One Ui does make a difference. Battery will update in a week.

Yea give it a few days. I'm impressed with the standby battery life tho. Went to bed around 1am woke up at 10am it only dropped 3%. My iPhone dropped the same 3%. So far so good.

I noticed 2 main issues while using the phone for past few days.
Bluetooth mode cannot be enabled in flight mode. So cannot use the buds+ in flight.
wifi connection does not automatically connect back if there was some connection issue half way and it switches to mobile.
*
I don't know about yours but I was just on a flight the other day and the bluetooth works perfectly while in airplane mode. Didn't use galaxy buds tho. Used Bose QC35.

I only charge my phone to 80%. I get an average of 3 hours SOT when it hits 50%. My usage is basically an hour of gaming (Kick Flight), Telegram and some web browsing and Youtube.

Using Lawnchair Launcher. 120Hz with everything else on. But I did put the google app in deep sleep cause it seems to be always running on background for some reason.

Battery life so far so good.

For those with standby drain issues. Ive been trying out this app called Naptime for the past 2 days. Essentially what it does is it forces the phone to go into deep sleep and preventing any unnecessary wakelocks. Initially I had about 0.9%-1.1%/hr screen off battery drain. After installing it I'm getting around 0.5-0.7%/hr. Its right now on par with SD users as per XDA forums. Give it a go. It requires ADB to allow permissions but it's pretty simple to do. Good luck!

True, the only slightly impact me is the signal strength as sometime really hilang by itself even show 4G+ haah!!
Now my expectation is fast fast release camera enhance FW ahha!! Thx

I've got the iPhone 11 Pro and the Ultra both on Digi. Signal strength seems to be the same. No sudden drops like what you're experiencing. Could it be a Telco problem? Currently I know maxis is being weird the past few weeks cause my wife is complaining about not having signal at all sometimes. She's on the iPhone XS btw.

Did an experiment today. Took it off the charger last night at 81%. Never touched it at all until I got back from work and this is the result. Pretty good standby time if you ask me. I think Naptime helped a lot. 0.2%/hr drain during screen off is damn good in my book. Obviously no screen on time cause phone wasn't touched until I got home. Its been on standby for 20 hours with everything on except I put it on do not disturb and silent mode.
