haha nice one so sharp, so have to zoom to 3.9x to get such result?

Near the signature name there actually got digit inside the value

Yes have to use 3.9x for now as 1x cant do proper macro shot like other users said.

Hi there, I think that there is something wrong with my s20 ultra's camera. Does anyone else have this problem?

user posted image

As you can see from the picture above, there is a purple shadow on both the right and left sides of the picture.

user posted image

The problem only gets worse if I try to reduce the brightness

user posted image

However, the problem only seems to exist in the photo mode. The picture above was taken with PRO mode and as you can see, PRO mode does not seem to be affected.

All pictures above were taken with 4:3 aspect ratio. The issue also affects pictures taken in 16:9 and full screen but to a lesser extent. 108MP and pro mode
does not seem to be affected. Indoor shots do not seem to be affected as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This because you shot direct sunlight? I just tested and yes it's there.

Is yours updated version already? If yes then you need to claim for warranty.

Anyone notice the top speaker will blink when playing whatsapp audio?

user posted image

Isnt that a sensor? If you covered it the audio will stop or loudspeaker changed to ear-speaker only.

Just came back from the samsung service centre. They have no idea what caused it cause the phone just launched. They asked me to send them the pics and they will contact me once they figure it out.

Just to reconfirm your phone and camera app are in latest update?

I see...well for me size is more important than the camera feature. as long as it can take nice pics.

Then yes, S20 is best to hold phone. Solid and feels great too. Last time i owned S10e also feels like that.

Tried again and set to lowest brightness. Not as bad as yours.
Just send them all pictures with mine too. So that they know your unit is bad and need to change parts/phone. Else they will stick to software issues.

I think I know what is going on here. It's the ISO. ISO 50 is either unusable or corrupted in my phone.

Pro mode, ISO 50, 1/12048s:

As you can see from the pics above, ISO 50 is the issue while ISO 64 and above is fine. However, the weird thing is.. ISO 50 on 108mp is fine.

Maybe you guys could take a few test shots to compare? Shoot something bright like the sun, use pro mode, ISO 50 with the highest shutter speed.

I will try later. Rain check laugh.gif

QUOTE(JimJim228 @ Mar 10 2020, 11:00 AM)
The pic is uploaded by phone or you capture from computer screens?
*
James, her phone got problem with daylight photo. You can check few pages back. Mine also have this red tinted on left and right sides but not as bad as her photos.

dy90 Here you go. Yours clearly need to send for warranty. If it's software issue, it will affect all/most of us.

Maybe you can try to start at 4x get the focus right then only start to zoom further...
*
Tried that. focus point will be clear in far away from object. The clearest macro shot is 3.9x
