I've got the TMobile version of the S20 ultra. I'm averaging about 3 hours of SOT. I unplug at 80% and then charge when it hits 40+%. Bloatware disabled. Naptime installed. 120hz. data disabled cause only using WiFi at home. My usage is mostly WhatsApp, telegram Spotify YouTube and Gmail. My wife has been using my old exynos for about a week now and she only charges hers at night.

Just checked her SOT. From 100 - 35% roughly 5 hours SOT. She's been Netflix-ing her Korean drama the whole day so I guess that's her usage.
*
Something running in your background...I have the same usage as your but never disable any boatware or remain default setting with 120hz and can hit 6 to 7 hrs SOT. Thx

Ummmm if you bother reading my post, I remove it from charge at 80%. And recharge it at 40%. So technically if I were to discharge it from 100% all the way down to 0 like you do, then I will roughly get the same SOT as you
*
Ohya true too, my bad.
~6 to 7 hrs (my record was ~7.5 hrs) with 6.9" of 120hz Exynos without single tweak on default setting for Ultraman consider very good now. Thx

Haha extra 3% of stand by time on sleeping hour

laugh.gif laugh.gif
*
My Exynos Ultraman of 8 hrs sleep time drop ~5%, so really just 2-3% gain. Some review say ~27% batt longer for Snapdragon on 120hz, if Exynos ~6.5hrs SOT then Snapdragon should be ~8hrs or 1.5 hrs+ more, maybe some Snapdragon users can confirm on this...

For regular users, either ~6.5 or ~8 hrs SOT also need to charge daily basic else batt will kaput by 1H next day. Maybe more impact for gamers or watching lots of video users, my expectation is if unplug ~6.45am or worst done charge ~12am and it can tahan till ~11pm-12am next day then will be good enough as give me extra ~1.5hrs SOT can't tahan me the whole 2nd day as well.

Hence, Exynos or Snapdragon only concern by certain heavy users for batt life but I would say ~80% regular users might not concern more. Bare in mind that Snapdragon cost ~15-20% more for RRP, US1400 if not wrong for Snapdragon S20U version.

I am not support Exynos is great but just Positive Thinking as Msia users since we can't get official warranty of Snapdragon in house. 😜😛😋

Just my personal though and no offence to anyone. 😀😁😂

Thx

Nice !
Notice better signal reception since upgrading from S10+. Am currently using S10 too
*
Same to me as been using S10+, Note10+ and now on S20U, similar on the signal which is more stable for S20U compare previously. I am no regret as well and the battery for me almost same for all previous model which is ~24 hours of usage with 6 to 7 hours of SOT (if heavy usage with zero gaming) and ~1% per hour for overnight then of cause charge daily else will KO by 1H of next day (if not heavy usage then can tahan a bit), I believe this is standard Exynos batt life while same as my earlier feedback if added few hours like others phone (I was using Huawei before) also still require daily charge unless you wanna charge in the middle of next day.

Actually I did tried LG G3, Lenovo K900, Huawei P20 Pro/Mate20pro before but from a Samsung users, I would still say I dont like Huawei UI. Maybe just me only, I feel Samsung new One UI much better than Huawei UI or it could be just me only as I am hardcore Samsung users (Note1, S2, Note3, Note5, S6 & S7e) haha!! Again, if you are corporate users then Samsung and Iphone always still the most prefer phone with more stable and support while if no GMS will be no go as well as sideload is prohibited by all corporate IT for safety protection.

Thx

My S20U with new ATD3 FW seem to improve batt life significantly with 1st day SOT hit ~7.3 hrs while 2nd day SOT achieve ~8.5 hrs Vs initial ATCT FW SOT at ~6.5 hrs ranges.

Fyi, "Ultraman" was on 120hz screen, dark mode, 100% WIFI etc.

Thx

Mine with around 3 to 4 hrs gaming max can hit 6 hrs out a bit SOT only. sweat.gif

Latest S20U firmware for Exynos version....I didnt play game for initial (ATCH firmware or earlier) and new (ATD3 firwmare) but observe extended batt life after upgrade especially SOT for 1st 2 days of usage, similar feedback from my friend as well.
- Before upgrade : ~6 to 7 hrs (Avg ~6.5 hrs)
- After upgrade : ~7.5 to 8.5 hrs (1st 2 days)

My common usage mainly FB, Chrome Browsing, Samsung Notes, Whatsapp, Youtube, Camera etc.

Thx

Mine from Maxis as well, maybe you can share whats your usage and battery life.
I use to be ~6.5 hours averagely with old FW but after current ATD3 FW upgrade, observe 1st 2 days of SOT (Screen On Time) hit between ~7.5 to 8.5 hours but of cause i don't do gaming.

Normally if I use camera then tends to slightly warm up the phone and batt life reduce significantly, my friend told me if he put the screen downward on sofa for overnight then phone slightly warm too.

Thx

Append below image of my usage for your reference
[attachmentid=10475532]
I'm also using ATD3 FW and I dont play game as well. Only Call, Message, WA, Web Surfing and etc. My power saving is set to Medium Power Saving.

Since I'm coming from Mate 20 Pro which is only 4200mAh, but it performs much better in terms of battery life. Even with the same usage, will leave me about 60% at 5pm. As for S20U5G, it is about 50% now as I'm posting on LYN 😔. This is my 2nd day using S20U and i'm really frustrated.. Hope you guys can suggest some of the tips to improve battery life or I'm having a defective set. Thanks
*
Emm...maybe not a good way to compare others phone as Exynos use to be known for pending optimization on power management.

Lets try finish up remaining 50% and see how worst the total SOT.
Fyi, below was my S20U Exynos with ATD3 FW for pass 2 days but without gaming and 1st day did minor try out the camera.

Thx

Here's my SOT with 3% Balance
[attachmentid=10476668]

Hoping for a better SOT on S20U with 5,000mAH battery
*
I observe some usage after 12am before recharge again, the 7 hrs include b4 charge SOT since the total always 12am to 11.59pm? Do you have exactly from 100% to 3% SOT, might just click the after charge car and manual add yourself.

If phone still new then normally took few days to analyze users usage model, you should see the pattern study when access to batt life.

As for Exynos, if SOT can hit 7 to 8 hours consider very good d. 😀

Thx

This is my SOT using AccuBattery Pro, does it mean I'm getting 7hrs+ (6h 19m + 42m)? But I can see that battery consumption has improved today compared to the first 2 days 😀.Hope it could improve further
*
For my pass 3 days, min 7.5 hrs (100% Wifi, 120Hz, zero gaming etc) which I feel good enough for Exynos version. Again like I mention earlier, extra 1 hr for me is actually nth as I still need to charge daily. Personally, I feel we should not so particular with the extra 1 hr SOT or slight few seconds faster on SD. Maybe I am too uncle to concern this and feel not worth to spend extras bucks on none local warranty devices unless it is much cheaper than local set. Again, just my 2 cents and no offence to anyone.

Thx

Agreed...if buy d then dont worry so much else if worry then may op for others phone. 😀 I still feel Samsung much better to use as overall especially if you are corporate users compare to others Android brand, I sold off few Huawei, LG, Lenovo after try for few mths but end up still back to Samsung. Yes, S20U might not win over some top Huawei phone camera, 1 hr+ shorter SOT, slightly slower on Exynos and camera still need continue improvement since the sensor just too new to work well with current FW etc but in term of overall usage still stable plus work perfectly well for me.

Thx

Agreed. Last time I switched from note 3 to p30. Felt like I downgraded my phone. Maybe because of the Amoled display

Few days later I sold the phone and bought an s7 edge.
*
Once we are Samsung users then hard to switch to others Android UI, despite ppls tends to bite on S20U for inducing multiple inmature sw flaws but I am quite satisfy with the phone performance for the pass 2 mths++ of usages especially the screen vibrant color, reasonable loud speaker, zero hang or crash on One UI 2 and not perfect yet but quite decent camera results.

After recent FW updates, camera auto focus speed did improved significantly to the level of acceptable result even it might not equivalent to dual pixel speed due to PDAF design limitation while the slightly 1 hours+ of Exynos shorter SOT only incur min impact to majority of users like myself who charge the phone daily since the battery life able to sustain throughout the day until late evening to midnight from the time I left my door step at 6.45am and personally it is kind of negligible as regular users if the device took few second more to complete daily tasks unless really compare side by side with SD model.

In summary, I am still a happy typical user of Exynos S20 Ultraman with at least worry free of local warranty coverage and lets wish the ~171MB of ATD5 May security fw upgrade will further optimize the phone feature and capability. I believe Samsung will made it through very soon as they always will, lets remain positive mindset and continue to enjoy the phone kao kao rather than daily struggle with online critics. Again, this is just my little 2 cents smile.gif and hope no offence to anyone.

Thx

You are only getting 5 hours SOT in a day at 60hz display?  I think something isn't right. Have you checked if there are apps drawing power in the background? I noticed some folks here being able to achieve around 7 hours on 120hz on WiFi, I'd imagine it can't be so far off on LTE.
*
Below are my SOT per differrent usages :

Usage #1 - If 100% WiFI,120Hz screen, power optimize, no games, no camera and no video call then able to hit 7 to 8 hrs ++ SOT.

Usage #2 - If similar setting as usage #1 but with minor camera usage for video call then will be ~7 hrs SOT.

Usage #3 - If similar setting as usage 1 but mix with 4G data then will be ~6 to 6.5 hrs++.

Normally ~6 hrs ++ unless extremely high usage with mix 4G data, camera, Skype business call, bluetooth headset for songs etc then only drop to slightly below 6 hrs. 4G data did consumed more battery especially worst if move between good and average signal area while camera is another power hungry apps too.

Thx
