Open source app on XDA to set your refresh rate to 96hz. No need to mess with Tasker and ADB shell
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/sszb.s20.refresh You can check your fps here https://www.testufo.com I use this mainly when I reach 50% battery. This post has been edited by bitebug: Mar 30 2020, 11:44 PM |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Apr 3 2020, 01:58 PM) Man, still cant get over it? Well yes. Those variables are the soc, the camera sensors and the software. I think it's a viable tests and all the big trusted tech reviewers don't have any problems using this method. Auto settings is what people will use 99% of the time.I think all these which soc takes better pictures are all bullshit. I mean these guys arent even comparing them scientifically. It is just point and shoot. There are so many variables that could affect the final outcome. If really want to compare then do it like those real camera test using pro mode. Both phones are set to identical settings and take a photo to compare. This way you can confidently say which phone wins by merits. This post has been edited by bitebug: Apr 3 2020, 06:55 PM |

If I buy my phone through Seng Heng, do I still qualify for the trade in program through Samsung or do I have to deal with Seng Heng? Anyone knows?

After the update, optimised power mode seems a lot better than medium power saving on my 20+

QUOTE(rahuldave @ May 6 2020, 05:01 AM) Its already turned off as i'm using Medium Power Saving. Standby drain would be 1% p/hour from my observation. Is it the same with you guys? Medium battery saving seems to be broken or something after the recent update. I used to get around 1% drop in around 3 hours idle time. After the update it was 1% per hour. Now I just use optimised power |

QUOTE(kevintth @ May 9 2020, 06:04 PM) Anyone here got idea what is the difference between fast charging and super fast charging in terms of speed? Fast charging on my 20+ shows up as 1h40m to full whilst super around 59 min. So huge difference. But I usually use fast charging when I'm not in a hurry to extend battery life |

QUOTE(kevintth @ May 9 2020, 09:23 PM) Nope for me either. This is enabled by default when you fast charge your phone. Basically, low battery: very fast charge. Medium battery:fast charge. High battery: fast to regular charge. This is just Samsung's branding of "Quick charge". It switches from fast to regular charging automatically when you have sufficient charge in your phone to prevent excessive heating and preserve your battery.Surprise if it really beats S20u lol... I tried to use this gboard since so many said it is good. But I dunno why auto spell is so much worst than using swiftkey. End up with swiftkey the best for me. I see. Then normal charge could be over than 2 hours to reach full. BTW, how to turn on adaptive fast charging? Can't see to have this option. https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/what-...-fast-charging/ If you want an app to tell you you've reached a certain charging point, you'll need an app like AccuBatteryPro. They usually recommend you to start charging at 20% and stop when you reach 80%. Apps like these only gives you a notification though and doesn't actually stop the charger when it reaches the recommended charging point. QUOTE(latte36 @ May 10 2020, 02:43 PM) Thanks for this. Yeah the S20 is definitely rushed. But at least it's fixable by a little tempering with the software. I play 2 games Honkai Impact and Sky and both run great now.Its quite sad to see a 4k rrp device requires us to do such thing to beat a redmi note 8 pro? A sub 1k mid range? Really wtf. Also, seems like older Samsung devices benefit from this as well |

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ May 13 2020, 02:11 AM) Looks like only Note20+ will have 120 Hz @ QHD with variable refresh rate. Also, it will be using new technology called LTPO which will save battery. hahaha. Again, we are looking at S20 series being the experimental device with battery-hogging 120 Hz. This post has been edited by bitebug: May 13 2020, 12:15 PM |
