QUOTE(PJng @ Mar 4 2020, 11:41 PM) Not sure abt Note10lite though. The S20U has one film at front screen, another film at backThe film at back has a tag that you can use to easily pull it off Front film looks like it's a permanent thing, but of course you can tear it off too if you want |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Mar 4 2020, 11:46 PM) Well that should be expected from a free wireless charging pad give by Samsung. Read somewhere that 45W charging not that much faster than the standard 25W? Dunno of it's worth getting the 45W chargerIt is an old model, so max 9V. If you want a bit faster, you can buy the 15W wireless charger from Samsung. You may try fast wireless charging from other brands, but it won’t go more than 7.5W due to proprietary tech used by Samsung. But for me cable all the way la. 25W for S20/20+ and 45W for S20U. Less than 1 hour ald full. |

To those commenting on battery life, do you guys enable adaptive power saving? I enabled it, and even though I choose optimised setting I noticed that it sometimes goes to medium power saving.
I noticed because my AOD wasn't there, as it turns out default medium setting disables AOD (which I then changed) So now, even if the phone goes to medium power saving my AOD still visible For games I use Game Booster that puts the phone into high performance automatically |

QUOTE(Iylia @ Mar 13 2020, 03:03 PM) Just thinking if i should go with a 25W car charger + phone mount or a 15W wireless charger phone mount. How fast does the Xiaomi manage to charge the S20 Ultra? ![]() This is what I use. 20W wireless charging, was good enough for my previous S8+ running Waze + mobile hotspot for multiple devices at same time. Love the automatic open/close mechanism Seems alright for the S20U as well in the short time that I've had the phone |

QUOTE(PJng @ Apr 15 2020, 07:07 PM) Yes, my S20U started to have it a few days ago. Noticed it when I was browsing late at night with brightness set to 0 (room lights were all off). At first I thought it was some webpage issue, but it came back after browsing other websites |

Samsung has taken the issue-ridden Galaxy S20 Ultra firmware off the air
"The Galaxy S20 series has received quite a few updates in a short time. Unfortunately, the last update that was released globally for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra turned out to have too many issues, including the presence of a green tint on the display when high refresh rate is enabled and, in the case of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, slower super fast charging than what the phone was initially capable of. And it seems Samsung realized the extent to which the last update caused issues on the Galaxy S20 Ultra: It has now taken the latest firmware for the device off the air. If you hadn’t already downloaded the latest update — software version G988xXXU1ATCT — on your phone, you will probably not be able to download it now, either over the air or through Samsung’s Smart Switch software for Windows and Mac." QUOTE(gilbertarenas @ Apr 20 2020, 06:15 PM) For my S20 Ultra, the green tint only happen under certain conditions: I've noticed if snap photo of near objects (e.g. item on desk) from within WhatsApp the pic is slightly out of focus. A bit annoying having to exit chat, use native camera app to snap pic, open WhatsApp back and then attach the pic before sending.1. 120hz 2. When screen is toggling between low/high brightness 3. Can be solved by restarting apps So my assumption is it is a software issue with brightness + 120Hz. Battery Drain wise, after update and several weeks of usage (Ai Learning?), my battery now can last through a day with moderate usage Camera wise, still the same, cannot tahan photo with blurry sides due to the big lens, auto focus tends to be abit slow Overall, still a solid phone with slightly high price tag Do other people notice this too? |
