Most likely is the high price and the processor they offered to the market lo. People hate Exynos. Samsung is just can't accept the fact so blame covid19.
Selling only the SD variants of the S20 series on their home market in South Korea is ultimately the "dumbest" move Samsung could make. It literally proves to the whole world the Exynos version is inferior to the SD.

This one depends on our local pricing lo. Remember last year op7 Pro disaster local launch. 3699 when s10 also same price. If the oneplus 8 Pro launch at 4k and above, most people would probably still opt for Samsung due to brand perception It is good for those who wanna get sd865 flagship with all the bells and whistles though. Camera performance also on par with S20 this year. One more thing is the warranty support on oneplus phones, not sure if they've improved or not. So far Samsung being the bigger company has pretty good service centres around the country.
The Oneplus is not going to be cheap for sure. So unless you are going for the Sd version of the S20 series, if not then it would not be worth comparing it against the Exynos version of the S20 series. Take note the comparision in the video was btw the OP8 Pro vs the S20 Ultra Sd, not the exynos.
I think its because many apps are still running at 60hz and 90hz and the phone is struggling to adapt to the different apps' display and hence the warming up issue. Have you tried then usual phone restart?
Hi bro. Yeah tried restarted multi times. Still same . And when in 120hz mode, the phone will heating up even when taking photo. 5 min trying zoom here n there then heating up. Overall I think the software still not stable .
Looking at your avatar, you should have technical knowledge on smartphones. What do you think the contributing factor to be? Defective hardware, defective battery, software, a rogue app? I mean all these could be a contributing factor to your phone overheatingto What do you plan to do before sending in the phone for RMA?
Yo bro. I think just the software not stable. Before the first update, my phone will always popped up choose your network sim 1/2. After the update, this issue seems gone. Hopefully the next software upgrade solve this issue.
If a battery defective, u will have a random jumping battery percentage . If hardware defective, you will have a very quick battery draining even lock screen the phone will heating up. Mine if turn on 120hz mode, phone will starting to heating up but not those temperature sensor popped up.
Hopefully Samsung will take note on this and settle down in next update or else they hard to battle with huawei p40.

This is totally not acceptable that Samsung releases updates that are half baked to consumers causing much inconvenience to users. Come on Samsung, you are the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and you come up with these silly mistakes?
I'm thinking of going for this option but worried about warranty. Spending more with higher risk.
Find sellers that are going to help you send your unit back to the origin country for RMA. Some of the sellers do while some charges a small fee to do that.

That would be optimistic. If Samsung still pushes on with the Exynos, Malaysia will still be getting it. Where else do you expect Samsung to dump the Exynos phones? Even the Koreans theselves who are hardcore supporters of Samsung rejected the Exynos chipset and hence they are getting the SD version instead.
