yes, this is one of the reason
the another reason is other AV will conflict each other
like other AV will detect klif.sys as malware, but in fact klif.sys is Karpersky driver...

Installing more than 1 is fine. But do not run more than 1 real-time protection at the same time and do exclude the other anti-virus software files from the searches.

This issue has been mentioned over and over again. I have read at least almost 5 times within the last 6 months. (Sweat)

You CAN have more than ONE AV. BUT, Do so at YOUR OWN RISK.

AntiVir + NOD32 has been stable with me for almost 2 years now. You can top it up with AVG Anti-SPYWARE (NOT ANTI-VIRUS!!!) and the rest of the anti-malware "gang" Programs.

Just have one Guard/Shield/Real Time Monitor on, and the rest OFF. Rest assured, no more problems

This topic ought to be closed.

Cheers!

Ops sorry. I meant exclude the software files of other antivirus. It happened to me once. It deleted the other software files. Had to reinstall.
