Hi Alex, got your phillips camera already?
I am wondering if you were able to remove the IR blocker?
If the lens could be unscrewed, u could find a replacement lens at one of those security camera shops in pudu.. smile.gif

Are you sure the replacement lens without IR blocker can get around pudu? If is then I have to order one webcam from davis, because at first I tot the lens cant get in M'sia. Do you happened to get the lens? If yes then kindly let me know which shop you get it from. Thanks.

By the way, they able to remove stock lens from the webcam and replace it with a 4.3MM one.

Are your webcam for multitouch?

Can use in Vista. Do not believe too much of BS on some websites or forums.

Davis, this web cam good? I've thinking buying this or Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. The Carl Zeiss lens one.

The stuff I've been reading online has been mixed. Some users have dead pixels in some units on their Phillips. On the Logitech side...is biasa punya problem la.

You got any good webcam recommend me? I want to buy and have it running ASAP.

Hi Davis, I purchased this webcam via lelong and payment made on 2nd May 09. Waiting for the webcam to arrive... nod.gif

Added on May 5, 2009, 11:29 pmHi Davis. I received it today. Thanks for the speedy delivery. However, was not quite pleased with the image quality, quite blurred and grainy; The image quality of my Edge 1.3MP webcam I bought 2 years ago for about RM50 was sharper. I did turn the dial to sharpen the image but it is still not as sharp as my old one. Maybe my settings are wrong? Nevertheless, the microphone was good.

And I found out that SPC900NC is quite picky in terms of softwares. Recording videos with the given Vlounge software is ok, but when I tried using third party webcam softwares like VH Multicam, super webcam, the video look awful. Please help....

Hi,
You still have to play around the setting and the adjustment ring, nobody complains about it. It is one of the sharpest Philips webcam thus they are use for astronomy purpose.

Do you mean not to use the automatic settings? I tried manual and automatic settings as well, still not sharp. Can anyone show me what are the recommended manual settings? sad.gif
