Thanks for ur quick advice. But for the tinting, is it really must remove totally? Or can replace with a tinting that is compliant with puspakom? And then for the brake, which brake specifically need to be fixed?
Thanks again..😅

Thanks.. Will change a new brake pad, lazada got sell any cheap but good quality brake pad? I scared Perodua cut my throat 🤣

For the tint, i suppose F means front and R means rear. Which one that failed? Or both also failed? 😱 The 4 side windows tint not affecting right? 🤔

by looking at the reading, i was guessing FW ( Front Windscreen ) 43% light go through, means 57% dark.

as for as i know front windscreen should be more than 70% light go through, which means less than 30% dark.

brake pad not expensive for Axia, get a good 1 will do

have service brake anot

change brake oil flushing

rear brake shoe hardly change, but who know, go get a check

I guess i just need to change a new front windscreen tint to 70% light go through then can get a pass on it?
As for the brake, what is row 'A2', column 'I' means? I see the number is only 2, should go higher right? The passing mark OE must be at least 58? That's what the puspakom guy told me. I just need 6 more marks to achieve that right? 🤔

Must remove front windscreen tint for Puspakom inspection. Even if you fix a "compliance" tint, the result will 99% still fail as the bare windscreen itself already got some % reduction.

from the numbers being indicated
your brake isn't grippy enough

and your front windscreen's tint failed
u know it's a big fail?
because your front windscreen is darker than your front side window
your front windscreen has to be the clearest of all the glass on your car
if your front windscreen has 43% VLT, i wonder how are u looking out of?...isn't it hard to see? laugh.gif

When I did the tinting from the shop, it was a 70% VLT film, so i think u r right about the % reduction itself that make it lower than 70%, guess i'll get an 85% VLT tint for my windscreen.

I have been using the tint film for my windscreen for more than 3 years already, no problem looking outside, even short sighted old uncle can still see clearly outside from inside.
I think it is because their device checking isn't reading accurately during the inspection, I did another test on my own after that on the front windscreen, the VLT is about 61% compared to PUSPAKOM test (but still below 70%, so yeah..).

using proper tint film and just dark tint is 2 different tint
dark tint is just dark tint with no filtration involved, which is why it is so cheap to begin with
and tint works both ways, if it's hard to see from outside..it will be hard to see from the inside
if it's not, thn u kena cheat already laugh.gif
and their device are never wrong, it's not made by them anyway...they bought them

as for 61% VLT, that itself is already very dark

and FYI, your original glass on your car(every car) already has a 10%+- VLT...so take that into consideration
meaning if the legal tint limit is 70% VLT, u need a tint that is 80% VLT to pass

why you so desperately to install a new tint and get inspected?

just remove the existing tint and go for inspection, and after pass, reinstall whatever tint you want

Yes, do the tint after pass inspection only.

Much more convenient this way and rather than risking 'failing' the inspection again.

No matter what you do in Puspakom test, sometime will failed. Bribery occur almost branch in Malaysia. RM100 can pass the test.

RM70 each time test, RM55 2nd time test, RM25 3rd time test
RM100 for the agent/puspakom officer who help you book the first-tenth slot in the morning inspection (guarantee pass)

No need to drive in, the agent help you lolz. No need to wash car, no need to fix brake pad, hand brake, brake pump, tyre, tinted, exhaust pipe, engine cleaning also no need to wash.

If you failed three time in a row, you will get a letter, then you need to sent your vehicle back to JPJ for full inspection which is waste of time ^^

Last time i help someone to do puspakom test for her car (for e hailing) Axia G auto

Someone in fb group suggested a workshop (quite near to puspakom bangi). That guy said the workshop very famous among taxi driver

I went, that workshop inspect the car and disable Abs function by removing the abs fuse(or relay i not sure)

Cabut front windshield tint and front side window tint

That workshop also give contact to do alignment at his friend workshop

Most importantly, he said, the receipt he issued must put on the dashboard during puspakom test

Lol wut?!? That time i knew already this workshop already “deal” with puspakom

If really want to tint, have to follow puspakom guideline VLT, if not every year you need to check puspakom and remove tint every year.
If i install new tint as soon as possible and manage to pass puspakom, at least my new tint can stay up to my car's lifetime.
No point to reinstall new tint after pass and remove it the following year.

Finally i passed the test! Imagine without any tint at all on the front windscreen also 79% VLT!!? Wth?
And compared to the values before, my other window's tints values not same, i think it's really their device not accurate because i didn't do anything to my other 5 tints at all.

glass itself have certain VLT value already not include your tinted, so why take the risk ?

instead of tint it dark, why not choose those tinted that reflect more heat aka IRR >90%

what is your purpose of tint ?

maybe you should show them both results and query why there different so much ?

EDIT: I understand that the glass itself has certain value, but i doubt it is that low of a 79%. Ppl say it is usually +-10%, but this is 21%!! U kidding me??

Yes, i want to get those tint IRR > 90%, but not easy to get one with VLT high and good price. I think i kena cheated by the shop last time say my front windscreen tint is compliant with jpj. But having said that even without tint i still get 79% VLT, where can buy 91% or higher VLT front windscreen tint with high IRR?

I didn't think of asking them on the comparison of both previous and current results. Should have done that before i leave the place this morning.

I think if i were to go for Puspakom , i will fail also. But who cares. Im not driving grab anymore. Yes, i already gantung my keys thansk to Anthony Loke.

Mine, i have already some dark tint, installed by Perodua SA.
Then i add those Rm 10 black static shade, even darker.
Back i put those black window curtain.

So if la i test my window with these items in combinatiom, sure 0% VLT. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Brake can easily fail you. Press 2% only ma. On CCTV, brake light on. Gagal because brake not gripping when you step little bit. Noone gonna put a newton meter on the brake pedal to measure how hard the tester step on it.

Just for the benefit of other members, who may need to send their cars for Puspakom inspection.

The brake segment, failed on the rear brakes. Since they are balance (imbalance reading '2'), there's actually nothing much a mech can do.

For the sake of passing, just deflate the rear tyres, down to around 140-150kpa. That'll increase the score to above 45.

Just take off your front windshield, the other windows dont need.

After pass puspakom then put back a new tint n the front windshield.

Also, service your brakes.
