Just painting alone only for ceiling + walls :-

Bangla low-skill : RM1,000
Bangla good-skill : RM1,500-2,500
Indonesian : RM3,000-5,000
Chinese : RM6-10,000

Add 5-10% more if you are changing color that requires an undercoat.

Without furniture is lot cheaper.
Depend ur area. Penang around 2 to 3k

Kl dunno maybe 20% more

Depends how picky you are and how good your eyesight is.

But between an Indon vs Chinese minimal.

Between cheap bangla vs Indon significant difference.

Paint runoffs, irregular coating and missed spots are common issues when you get cheap ones, also if one wall will be different color you can expect to see some differences. Painting the ceiling?? Definitely plenty of differences. Have areas that you don't want any paint to spill on?? Oh yes you can bet your last RM there would be differences.

My heart almost fainted when I saw that Bangla climbout to balcony paint outside without safety harness

1200sq ft apartment, paint using those cheap white color paint. Painters local Chinese. Cost me about 1k only.

i just get quoted by 2 contractors recently(within 1 month) in Penang island area, 900sq ft, Rm 2.9k and 3.3K, paint whole house (door+ceiling +wall) ,paint included (easy wash type)

in 2009 I had a chinese contractor quoted painting of the entire 625sf apartment with 2 coats of ICI Dulux pearl glo for RM2.8k, ended up my wife and i painted together
