I ordered a 'Guda drum' from Ukraine, which finally, about 6 weeks later, arrivied in Malaysia.

It's one of these:

https://guda-drum.com/guda-double

When I check the tracking it shows this:

"Held by Customs
Reason: Articles whose import is subject to restrictions - import licence required"

WTF?

It's gone midnight and yes, the obvious thing is to call them - except no number or email: http://www.customs.gov.my/en/cu/Pages/cu_lm.aspx

Guess I'll have to drive down there tomorrow. I'm just ranting really but has anyone heard of such silliness before?

Is this some screw-up where they don't understand what it is, or do you really need some license to import a drum?

Since I'm here, I should up date this thread... When I went to collect, they confirmed there is no electrical connection, it's simply a percussion drum and there was no license or anything required.

Some import tax, not much.

I have since also imported a hang-drum from RAV drums, without any issue.

So really, it's just silly an scary wording on the note.
