subaru xv is quite popular outside malaysia.

It is probably the best crossover money can buy apart from suzuki jimny. The ground clearance is rated 5/5 for its class

Everything is good about it except the engine is very slow.

permanent 4wd = poor fuel efficiency
subaru boxer engine = prone to minor oil leak

For fuel efficiency, this is depend on the driver and how he drive. We got Xv & Forester owners manage to get 6~7L/100km for RON95. FYI, Subaru Xv & Forester is one of the best fuel efficiency test in the US comparing to other similar SUV category.

Just look at the combine fuel economy rating from US. Even Subaru Xv with 2.0 AWD can also match Toyota CHR fuel economy rating. So you tell me modern AWD is bad? Time to update bro. brows.gif Honda HRV only better 29 -> 30 by 1 MPG combine with lower safety specification & handling compare to Xv.. laugh.gif

FYI, Latest Subaru FB engine also reduce the oil leak issue.
We already got few 1st gen Xv with over 200k mileage and the engine did not have any oil leaks if maintain according to SC recommended range.
