Have anyone experienced with severe acne before? Yes, I do mean those crytic acnes with all juicy and big giant one. I used to have lots of acnes in the past 8 years and then stabalise back... But of course, once in a month, there will be acnes also, but only pop out one or two..


Recently, I went to take another isotretinoin course, 20mg daily dose. Now it's my 6 weeks, however, I realised that after taking this vitamin A, my face got worsen. Acnes getting more and more active with lots of big acnes keep coming. Is this normal in the early stage of the treatment? The medicine makes my acnes dry up so that it doesn't burst out but this will make the dirt leaves inside and swollen for a period of time. Making my face full of acnes now. Gosh, I am already 28 years old and I'm still experiencing this. This is really hard for me. I know isotretinoin is really good for acne as all derma will prescribe this for all severe acne patients but why my face got so terrible =(

Any doctors or patients here can share with me your experience on how you cope with those severe acnes?

I've taken isotretinoin before (and still is for maintenence) and that's what happens for the first few weeks and months. You just have to tough it out.

But my face just got worsen after having isotreterion T.T......

few years ago i eat it before. it show vast improvement. give my face less oily. have to apply lip balm cause it make my lips very dry.

Nope, I gotten from my doctor. I don't know why for my case, my acne is purging, getting more and more activr acne now, I'm on my second month treatment

at the early stage (1month-2month) of taking this medication, your acne will flare up. They are already there hidden in your skin. What the medicine does is purge them out so your skin will be acne free after. Please be patient as the medicine works.
