Very long never travel to border since always going to main cities. Just thought of going away for a quick weekend since still at perak. My family house 2 hrs away from border nia if drive.

So for those who recently went, how is the scene now? Which place better to visit?

Can always check out Danok and drive up to Hatyai if Danok doesn't scratch your itch.

At least got decent civilization there and got better food. You just need to research a bit more for cheong.

Dannok is overpriced and full of scams.

To begin with, there is not much Thaimoi left. Mostly is Burma and Laos.

Last time some OKT scammed us for payment. Partly due to our mistake of believing that idiot.

The girls also scammed one of my friend. Took some money and went away after promising to return. Best part is, she stays right opposite our hotel and when sound to her, she ran away and hide inside her room... can't access that area. sibeh.

Food is overpriced in general, except for fast food or 7-11.

Betong is quite OK, but security bit risky and need car to move around.

Both place have its own allure.

But i prefer Dannok, if anything urgent easy to cabut balik rumah.

Yes and that's where most thaimoi go first. They feel they have too much demand so why bother for less.

Accommodation : New Season Hotel, Sakol Hotel, Lee Garden Hotel, Mayflower Hotel
Shopping : Central Festival, Asean Night Bazaar
Pubs : Post Laser Disc, Westside Saloon, Homeless Bar & Grill, The Swan
Clubs : Kiss Channel Club
Sightseeing : Hatyai Municipal Park, Stainless Steel Temple and basically many other temples if you're into it. The Hatyai waterfall is supposedly quite nice but I've yet to go there.
Food : Plenty around central Hatyai, even halal selection.
Others : Massage and cheong I guess, buka WeChat can find alot or can get tutktuk drivers to take to around to the chicken farms

Kiss Channel boleh, as there are many GROs/freelancers you can try to ask out (depends on price I suppose) but the pubs I mentioned are frequented by locals, usually youngsters and OLs. But no harm in trying to pickup local OLs no?
