Dubbed the Les Paul Killer! The Yamaha SG 2000 was designed in the mid 1970s with the input of Carlos Santana in search for long sustain, and they succeded with this model! The Yamaha SG 2000 is the only model in the SG line that features a brass sustain plate.

Specs:

Color - Cherry Sunburst

Body - Mahogany with carved maple top, T-Cross maple structure

Neck - Laminated rock maple and mahogany through neck, ebony fretboard, 22 frets, 24 3/4 scale length, 13"radius

Hardware - Gold plated tailpiece, brass sustain block under bridge

Pickups - OPG I, Two anti hum high output shielded pickups, tri mounted

All parts are stock other than a paint refinish. Word has it that the original poly finish was clouding due to the erratic weather/temperature change while in Japan; the previous owner has thus decided to refinish it with nitrocellulose. Weighing at approx 4.3 kg, this guitar is very resonant and well aged.
