Added on July 23, 2007, 10:34 pmFrom the locations, it seems a good central place would be Midvalley Megamall. Its more or less a central location and easily accessible via public transport (for the younger ones or those without cars). I chose burger king cause the food aint bad, reasonable price and best of all, unlimited refills smile.gif. Though we can always change location in the mall If we decide to hang out elsewhere.

Venue: Burger King @ Midvalley Megamall
Date: August 10 2007
Time: 7pm

So those who can confirm their attendance, reply with your location and mode of transport. Then we can arrange for carpooling.

How old are you? You can bring friends along if you're afraid. They can do their stuff while you hang out with us or they could join us... but our talks might bore them if they're not interested.

Erm a few things...

1) I will come most probably from Asia Jaya LRT, then reach KL Sentral and take KTM.

2) The place would preferably have Wi-fi... does Burger King Mid Valley has any wi-fi?

3) Just a suggestion, maybe we can all wear some kind of tag, with their LYN user name written on the tag.

4) Perhaps someone can come up with some agenda? Perhaps organize a mini programming competition or something smile.gif.

Take the LRT to bangsar, there are feeder buses(free) from the Bangsar LRT to Midvalley Megamall. Unless they stopped the feeder buses, then you would have to pay for the bus tongue.gif

Don't own a laptop, so I wouldn't know

That can be done smile.gif
If you're on a budget, just buy a sticker and write on it laugh.gif

Good idea, but some of us may not have laptops. The main agenda would be to learn from others about the different parts of the industry we're in. There's a lot of experience to share and we can all learn from it smile.gif

if the outcome is good, maybe we can plan for something bigger. let say, those who are expert programmers can plan to open classes on certain technologies for beginners and intermediates so that we all can gain knowledge and skills. thumbup.gif

This could be the birth of LY.N's school of software engineering. brows.gif

Better still, we can maybe form a special interest group. Meet maybe once every month to share experience and ideas and etc. Why made this a one-off event?
