I would like to ask something about guitar effect. I am quite new to this and i only know Distortion, the wah-wah pedal. And i think i am getting an effect soon. And i see in the selling/buying forum, those Boss thingie with the code, i have really no idea. Even distortion there are many types out there. And is there any website where i can listen to the effects of different kinds?

BOSS, Digitech, EHX, Danelectro, Behringer ... all of them have samples on their respective websites.

....however....keep in mind that your mileage may vary.

those samples are probably recorded with high-end equipment. so sometimes your setup may not have the same output. studio recording gears are different from home practice gears.

Try out the boss website, they have clips there which you can listen. Helps you differentiate the different pedals/sounds
