So as per topic, how do I connect two routers to a modem via lan cable ?

My purpose and goal are as below,

Router A will connect via lan cable to modem as I will use this router as a connection for tv box (wireless will be disabled for this router)

Router B will connect via lan cable to modem and this will be use as a normal wireless router to use internet

Anyone can help me ?

Thanks.

I assume router A is your main router, yes? Router B cannot plug in direct to modem to get internet i reckon cos main router need to call pppoe from modem. Diff isp migjt be dofferent setup. If that the case router B connect to main router but router B need to be in same subnet as router A and dhcp must be off on router B. So modem>router A>router B

Router B ... if you are buying it check that it can handle AP mode . and you need to turn off DHCP on this router.

Yep you are right router A is main because sitting beside modem and tv while router B is about 30 meter via lan cable from Router A and modem.

Ok I'll try your method and report back later.

Thanks

came across this thread today and after reading i realise i have misread the original question.

BTU cannot support 2 routers on 1 unifi account.

It depend how you setup the network.

First BTU can support 2 routers or even more, but it can only setup 1 router to dial up 1 ISP account, so let say if you having unifi and maxis at the same time, then yes you can setup 2 router to connect 2 internet account with 1 BTU. But i guess this is not what you looking for.

If Router A still have LAN port available, 30m LAN cable is within acceptable range. Else you can buy a switch for tv box connect to the Router A, plug and play no additional setting require.

No need another router if you are looking for extra 1 internet line just for tv box. Configure a router to same subnet, turn off wifi and turn off DHCP, it then become switch function.
