Only grabcar not profitable, so does other ride sharing business in other place around the world. These kind of business model only expected to be profitable when robotaxi technology comes online. Right now they just maintain the ride sharing business to hold the market share so that when the technology finally ready they are already fully prepared

But heard other grab service like Grab Pay, Grab Food, Grab express are profitable. Now Grab aim to be digital bank like Alipay, wechatpay. Soon we will be able to take microloan through grab app.

Grab as a ride sharing company won't grow anymore. Same with Uber. Grab knows this and what you see in Grab food, wallet etc is them finding more profitable business.

They will only try to prevent great loss of driver. So no more super incentive for driver or rider anymore.

Last month was quite good, i saw more drivers and my bookings was quickly accepted. But this few weeks back to longer waiting time. Mostly i have to wait for the driver to drop off another rider first.

Seems everywhere around Klang Valley will say
No drivers around expect longer wait.

Or is this their way to milk all those rm30 by hiking the price?

Actually Boost dish out pretty good loyalty points if you're level 4. Grab plat still ok but after March 15, can throw to the bin. TnG no loyality prog pun.

They still making losses la
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/a...itable-ceo.html

Anthony tan said will go public once profitable. 12 month from Nov 2019. Which mean Nov 2020 will finally start profitable

Tho like Uber/Lyft and all rideshare every year taichi this xx year will be profitable but end up every year still making billions of losses

It's open market competition between grab and MyCar, they keep cutting price to out price each other. Old driver no like the new price so they cancel a lot. Grab no like old driver cancellation rate so they just ban them and pay new recruits rm500 to get more new drivers. However Grab probably overestimated new driver intake flow. Now they add rm300 more which make total rm800 recruitment incentive to the new drivers

Come March, you’ll be earning 3 times less points compare to today. Currently the rate is about RM 1 to RM 0.075 cents worth of points. Which is about 7.5%. Not too shabby. I’m march it’ll be 2.5% or so. Not to mention it’s harder to maintain plat status as you’ll be getting lesser pts.

Spend you can spend anytime. Not that I know of there's any inflation of points coming soon. But just that you'll collect way less points after March 15.

so many ex-driver are still waiting for their license to be up.

have u heard why the actual reason why so many driver gone MIA?

coz most of them dont even own the car. so cannot take psv license and therefor they need another way.
