 Why some people's name have "DATOK", is it the same as Datuk?

Sorry i am little confused because i receive a name card from someone and with his name on the card but have this ( DATOK something )

is it the same as DATUK title ?

Datok is the old spelling. Datuk is the new spelling. When I was a little kid, it was spelled Datok.

They standardised the spelling with Indonesian Malay.

depends on who you pay/how much you pay to get your datuk/dato/datok title.

in the end - maybe card manufacturer salah print.
