Hardware notebook cable lock for mac, safety issue

i was trying out the notebook lock , my frined bought it at RM12 ....
i realised that the lock will stuck at the hole there , when i try harder to make it out , it will pry the casing abit . is it all notebook lock also the same ? or only the ciplak one like this only ? |

mainly the ciplak one... I've got a couple of Kensington ones here... they're fine... the ciplak ones do make changes
