Hi guys,
TM is about to give me a Unifi Plus box since I renewed my plan on UPB. My questions:
- Can we use Unifi Plus box and old white box at the same time? I am planning to use Plus box on main TV and white box on another TV
- Does the Plus box use normal Internet connection or must use the VPN LAN connection like the white box?

- Yes. Call Cs and refuse installation if your technician wants to remove the box. Old plan with media box gets to continue using legacy box as long as it is not terminated. Upgrading plan does not remove the feature.

- Yes, you can even bring it with you anywhere in Malaysia and watch it using local internet. For best result, use LAN on any port at router, except the port you use for media box. But if your WiFi is strong enough I see no problem.

Anyway, what plan are you on right now and which plan are you switching to?

I was on 300 mbps turbo plan at RM 149/month. They stopped discount after 24 months and charged RM 209/month. Now they are offering the same plan I am on, 300 mbps with Ruby Pack, for RM 159/month. Lock in 24 months but give Unifi Plus box. Other options were RM 139/month 300 mbps with no Unifi TV or RM 179/month 300 mbps with all Unifi TV channels.

RM159 for 300mbps + Unifi plus box is a good deal for current times, considering 100mbps without any box is rm129

Regret did not read this thread earlier.

Just had Unifi 'upgrade' my package. Basically its the same package as what I had before (300mbps), but I opted for Ultimate TV package (all channels).

The installer came yesterday to install the Unifi Plus Box, but this box really sucks to kingdom come! Picture is significantly worst that the white HyppTV box...!

Tried both wifi & LAN with the new Unifi Plux Box, but picture quality simply can't match the OLD white box.

The picture on the old white box is like watching a good quality DVD, and the Unifi Plus Box is like watching those ciplak VCD...(those were the days).

How is this even an "upgrade" Telekom..??? It's more like a downgrade. The only silver lining is that they didn't take the white box....

Just change my turbo upgrade plan to new Rm179 with UPB ultimate plan.
Yesterday technician come and installed the box. I am not happy with video quality if compared with old Unifi TV box (White Colours). Most of Chanel video quality like 1080 downgrade to 720🤣. And the app got issue also. Got error, when you switch to another channel, previous channel sound will continue play on going channel. Unable exit the app, press home button the sounds still continue play at background. Every time need restart the device for fix the issue.

Haha..Just noticed you same issue with me.

That was previous bug for previous update, i had that problem too. Latest bug channel keep circle loading. Not happening all the time but really noticeable.

Can't accept for this type of service. App got issue, video quality very bad.

Are they going to do anything about the video quality ? It is seriously bad like watching vcd..

Unifi will reply is no issue with the video quality...nobody complaint 🤣

This is not okay. How is it that we are paying the same amount yet receiving less of a video quality. How can I make a complaint ? Can call unifi right ?

By the way, can I buy the old version stb box elsewhere and ask unifi to pair it with my account so that I can use it ?

i wonder why earlier users next complain about the plus box video quality .

my guess is the unifi tv server is overloaded now ...hence you get lower resolution video pic .

so best still to stick to the old white box. if you still have it.

i think you need to chat Customer care.

my guess is it should be possible if you are on the full channel package.
and you will need the tm installer to program the box for you.

I will complaint at MCMC website

may i suggest, try to change the Internet source?
if wired change to wifi or if wifi change to wired
or maybe turn on 4G hotspot from your phone & connect UPB through WiFi

see if its make any difference, if video quality still bad, log the problem to unifi

The UPB use normal internet LAN or iptv LAN (dedicated iptv port) like the white tv box?

WIFI OR Wired same video quality.


I try UPB to white TV lan port it no response. Only other port is function.
