Just got call from unifi, they said can add on box for rm20 without subscribe TV pack.

1)Does it means, we get the unifi plus box but we cannot watch any single channel?
2)How long we need to pay the rm20/month. Is it for 2 years only or forever. IINM, in the current billing system, no more such thing as paying rm20/months for 2 years. This 2 years term only applicable for early adopters.

Anyway, if no (1) above is true, it's better to get other android box like mi tv stick. It has same functionality as unifi box + netflix.

1. If you already have a subcription e.g. the hypptv ultimate pack, you get all the same channels as you've previously had on your old STB (however you will have to self-install). If you don't already have a subscription, all you get is the box + whatever apps are included in it. So if no subscription, you can still watch Youtube and whatever free services you can get from the apps/net.
2. 2 year contract, once over you'll have finished paying for the box. If you end the contract earlier you'll have to pay for the balance plus some extra fees. Basically, the box is RM480 not including SST.

1) U still can watch free channel on unifi TV like mytv
2) 2 years only.

I said I will think first because no netflix lol.

If there's a 4k in unifi tv, maybe TM will increase our subscription bill...

then i dont see its worth paying RM 20monthly for 2 years for the tv box. RM 480 can get a good android tvbox

Previously the huawei tv box can nagivate easier for playback, but now this new unifi plus box is very confusing and not as easy to navigate.

Just received my unifi plus plus
Now i have hypptv (white) n unifi plus, the installer said u can use both, just switch tv input

In unifi plus, there no BBC news program but in the hypptv there is bbc world news channels
I only watch killing eve in bbc plus app

Whatever you get on the old box you should be able to get it on your new box. I still have all the channels from my existing ultimate pack subscription after switching to Unifiplus box, and this includes BBC news. Your subscription is tied to your iptv login, not your box.

Ah, that's BBC's app not Unifi's app, the BBC player is just included as a pre-installed app. I've no idea why BBC doesn't include their own BBC news program in it, I've never felt the urge to try and open it before.
