Hi all,

My 8 months old MBP battery is now going yo-yo. Sometime the capacity goes up to 90-91% (which I guess is normal for the age) but some other times, it goes down to 60%. I called up Apple support and my battery is not under their recall list.

The best I guess is to bring it to Apple Service Centre to get it checked. Anybody knows where is the nearest service centres to Ampang? Does battery included in the one year warranty (I've got an extended 3-year warranty courtesy of UK Higher Ed. plan when I bought my unit in the UK last year).

TIA.

Tinkerbel, just make sure your charge counts are less than 300 and MOST likely you will get a replacement. Get Cocunutbattery to monitor your battery health.

I am getting my replacement battery as well nod.gif

CoconutBattery is a must, you could save the reading and show to the support people. I saved the capacity information every week for the past 8 months... a must have application for MB/MBP for sure.
