Actually the visible big money youtuber is MrBeast and not pewdiepie. It is proven that having the biggest sub count does not mean big money, as the ad revenue are tied to viewing numbers. Local youtubers already debunked that. Foreign youtubers did many tests to trigger ad revenue and we get a picture of how this works. The only data not shown to us by youtube is how much they charge the customers for ad placement. Which shows lots of variances in revenue from different class of ads.

Mr Beast has higher number of ads than pewdiepie per video. And he also has those banner style ads that last from start to finish that equates to ad viewing time. Pewdiepie does not have this. No way pewdiepie makes more money than MrBeast today based on ad revenue alone.

But on outside income like merch/ sponsors they could be equal.
