everyone (countries) is holding so much USD. killing off USD will mean wiping out (big) part of their reserves. and trying to let go their USD, if significant... will cause downward pressure.. and may prompt others to throw their USD too, indirectly crashing USD... same thing as killing off USD. best thing is slowly move away from USD...

Until the world economy start using alternative currency substantially to settle their trades, USD is so safe other developing countries will bankrupt first before USD shows any signs of trouble.
