Fair indeed, we also don't expect you to join for prayers, just come and see the rice boil over and have some rice..

The rice, blessed with prosperity and fortune should be shared among all...

The prayer is just a "thanks for the harvest, keep giving us good weather and fertile soils for next season too"

Next, will be Kaamatan and Gawai, also will come out letter like this.

while it's not technically wrong, it's the wrong & harsh language to use.
u're always welcomed to learn other culture.

it's the MoE office for god sakes.
language is very colorful. play around wit it to make a better sounding version.
ie; instead original content of pushing the responsibility to individual, say something like;
"school are not to force muslim people to participate in..............".

adult teachers r deemed mature enough to know what can & cannot be done & be responsible of own actions.
ie, for all i care, a muslim can join in octoberfest to enjoy the music, see the performance, interact wit people to know the culture, not necessary must drink.
that doesn't make it haram.

Agree. Surely there must be 1 fella who scored A1 in SPM BM or has a degree in Sastera Melayu?

Sigh, we've been celebrating this for decades and there's no public holiday for this event. Don't know why it suddenly becomes an issue.

At school also all races will come and eat it and it's usually done by the Indian/Tamil language Society Club closely monitored by the Indian teacher in charge...

It only shows the hyprocisy la.
If Baca Doa during assembly no hal.
This kind of thing, need to have circular.
MoE is keeping religion out of schools just selectively.
:Slow hand clap:
