India one of the main economy is agriculture... So hence we continue that culture here lo...

Kinda sesat case considering none of us Malaysian Indian do much farming... But hey, culture is culture, what to do....

Sigh, we've been celebrating this for decades and there's no public holiday for this event. Don't know why it suddenly becomes an issue.

At school also all races will come and eat it and it's usually done by the Indian/Tamil language Society Club closely monitored by the Indian teacher in charge...
