You need around 5mil-8mil if you're retiring in the next 20years.
inflation is around 3% and would be going higher to about 5% sometime in the future due to climate change and increased population. Meat prices gonna rise, vege's gonna rise due to increased floods and natural disaster.

So please stop spending your cash on high end gaming rigs, cheongs, tinders, and spend your cash on improving your skillsets, take up a diploma , take up a cert. Take up something which can generate long term income to sustain your life till you retire.

Unless you're one of those guys who is into gik economy and plan to do that the rest of your lives. I've seen people working 2-3 jobs and still spend those hard earn money on PCs , rigs , streaming on facebook, some still trying to become a pro gamer.
Not say that it's wrong, guys if you are not getting good income and have not made it there after 2-3 years. Time to rethink your strategy. Some people just not cut out to do this shitz.

Do investments and safe irregardless of how small your contribution is. it will grow but the important thing is start small.

Compounding is your friend which most parents don't teach their kids when they are young. Some even dont know what is this.

If you're in your 20's and instead of spending your 10k on your gaming rig, if you've invested this cash which gives you 6% and on top of that 1k monthly invested for 40 years.

By the time you are 60, you would have in excess of well over 2mil.
