If you want to memeluk Islam, better try to be a Malay also. Reason being is that as a Muslim, you will be subject to additional Sharia laws on your life. (i.e. cannot drink, cannot eat pork, must fast on Ramadan, no physical contact with opposite sex, etc)

At least, if you are a Malay also. You can enjoy the bumi privileges to offset the additonal laws you must follow. 7% housing discount, bumi only loan and assistance, ASB, etc. If ownself kenot, try to get your kids to be Malay so easier to get scholarship and masuk public uni
